Happy Howie's 4-in Turkey Sausage Dog Treats, 80 count

Happy Howie's Treats arrived in a notably large box (12"x 5 1/2"). Inside were two plastic bags filled with the notably long (4 - 4 1/2") and thick Sausage Treats (40 in each). I immediately thought these treats would be more appropriate for large dogs, and as the fine print states, "Please monitor your pet while feeding natural treats. Blockage may occur if ingested in large pieces." There were no other instructions provided (to include the size or types of dogs most suited for this product, nor does it clarify the amount given per dog's body weight) but the box states to go to the website for feeding/serving guidelines. I did go on-line and easily found out the answers to these questions, but there should have been an insert in the box providing this information. Trying the treats out on two small dogs, the link was cut into 1/2-inch-thick pieces. Trace, a 15-year-old/15-pound dog with limited jaw strength was able to chew off a piece and eat it, seeming to enjoy it. Then Linda, an 11-year-old, 21-pound dog tried it next. She easily ate the slice with no problem and clearly liked the taste and looked for more. Two other observations of note: 1) In addition to English, the box also had details in French despite the product being made in the United States. While researching I learned that this product is also sold in Canada, and their regulations require French language packaging. 2) The plastic bags did not have resealable ends, so care should be taken to wrap them in an airtight container or plastic bag as the links seemed hard to the touch and difficult to bend to begin with. Overall, both dogs liked the flavor of the Turkey Sausage Treats, and they gave them a thumbs up.
