We've used Happy Howie's before for training treats in the past, so I knew these sausage things were going to be good quality. My dog had never had any treats like this before though, so when I first handed it to him he wasn't sure what to think of it. I initially thought he was going to turn it down, but after giving him a minute to inspect it, he snarfed it down and came asking for more lol. Now when I pull out this package he immediately knows what it is and is eager. These are bigger than a typical dog treat but they make for a lovely extra special snack! I give them to our adult golden while our puppy gets his lunch so he doesn't feel left out and that works out fantastically. Link would give these 10 paws out of 10!

The first thing I noticed when I opened Happy Howie's Lamb Sausage Dog Treats is that they smell and look like human quality food. The second thing I noticed is that they are really hard! I hoped they were softer so I could bring a sausage to the dog park and break a small piece off to give to my dog with each recall, but I will not be bringing these to the dog park. Instead I will give it to my dog when I want him to take a few minutes to eat a treat since these take awhile to chew like a very tough jerky. I also warn that these are made with lamb but the first ingredients are lamb heart and lamb lungs. I am fine with that, but in case you aren't I thought it is good to know.

I have two dogs and one of them is VERY picky. They both LOVE these lamb sausage treats. The moment I open the package, they lose their minds. Honestly, I have never seen them this excited for a snack. The smell is very appealing. It made me and my daughter want to eat. There are 13 sausages in the bag, but my dogs finished them quickly. They are great for a quick treat and training. The bag has a zip to close to keep the treats fresh. I will certainly buy more.

We love to give treats around here and spoil our furkids! This was a new one to try, as we've done too soft to too hard and everything in between. First off, the

We love to give treats around here and spoil our furkids! This was a new one to try, as we've done too soft to too hard and everything in between. First off, the package is decent plastic so that the zipper part actually works and doesn't tear up. The ingredients are limited and look good, without tons of additives and chemicals. The treats themselves are the size listed. We were concerned that they might be a little small for a great dane, but they turned out just fine because he Actually Chews Them! This particular boy loves to either swallow pieces that are too large if the treat is too soft or hurt his gums if it is too hard. Like Goldilocks, these sausage treats are *just* right. I was worried they'd be a little too hard and just break into shards, but apparently they smell so good that they're worth actually chewing up before swallowing! He was, of course, intrigued by the bag to start with, but after trying a few here and there (we don't give these every day just in case since they are a little harder), he has not lost interest, as often happens with this particular pup. He loves treats, but gets bored with some flavors and textures pretty quickly. These has held his interest so far, and he has neither hurt himself chewing nor chosen to swallow them whole, so it's a win! They also have not cause any digestive upset or other concerns, so they're definitely going on the "buy again" list for our house! As you can see, they are worth begging for--by way of doing as many commands as we ask for as long as that sausage is still in view (or smell)! Summary: good size, good ingredients, no adverse reactions, and good texture to encourage actually chewing.

These Happy Howie’s lamb sausage treats are a huge hit in our house. First off, they smell delicious — so much so that my 11-year-old thought they were people snacks and took a bite. They reported that they actually taste good… so if that’s not an endorsement, I don’t know what is! All of our dogs love them, and even the cats try to steal them when they can. The texture is definitely on the harder side, but none of the animals seem to mind at all. In fact, they go crazy for them. Overall, great ingredients, great smell, and apparently great taste — for both pets and the occasional curious kid. Highly recommend!

These sausage treats are a huge hit in our house. They’re hearty, good-sized sticks, so we usually cut them in half and the dogs still think they’re getting something extra special. Both of our pups go absolutely wild for them and come running as soon as they hear the bag. They’re made with real lamb, and you can tell they’re good quality because there’s never any hesitation… just happy tails and big eyes. Definitely a new favorite in our treat rotation!

I have a 50lbs poodle mix, and these were the perfect size! They’re a little tough-textured to be a training treat, but perfect as a 1-2 minute snack. I’m pretty sure my dog knew what this was, in a sealed package, inside the box.. because he was on top of it when we brought it inside. Very palatable! He loved it. The ingredients list is appealing with minimal ingredients and no real filler. The rice flour is high on the list, but you can tell the treat is mostly meat. We love lamb-only treats as a more novel protein that’s gentle on the stomach!

They usually do not like traditional packaged treats and prefer pigs ears to commercial treats but with these they absolutely gobbled them up and even tried to steal them off the counter. The ingredients are real so you don't have to feel guilty about feeding a bunch of processed junk to your pup. The texture was crunchy- like a potato chip. They didn't eat them in one swollow but actually enjoyed biting them and chewing on them. I would highly recommend and i will be buying in the future. Its not often i can find a dog treat that both my dogs really enjoy eating. They are not greasy, messy or strong smelling. 10 stars!

I would love to see an option for a larger bag in the future as we went through these pretty quickly as there are only 13 "sausages" in the package.
