Sausage treats that look like little sausages

I have 2 dogs. 120 LB dog with jaw strength and 50 LB poodle mix with typical poodle mouth. the sausages are hard. Big dog takes longer to chew then a large milkbone

I have 2 dogs. 120 LB dog with jaw strength and 50 LB poodle mix with typical poodle mouth. the sausages are hard. Big dog takes longer to chew then a large milkbone but can eat it without any issue. The smaller poodle mix does eat the sausage but the hardness of the sausages does take more effort on her part and longer to eat. I only give 1 of the treats a day to them so they aren't eating them several times a day to see if poodle would decline having a second one in a day. Would I buy them again? yes for the larger dog not so sure for the poodle mix with the smaller mouth and jaw strength. Do both dogs like the taste? Yes, both immediately take them when I give to them. They look exactly like small sausages you would buy from a butcher. Since hard, no residue on your hands and no strong smell out of the bag which is a plus.

My dogs really enjoy the Happy Howie’s Baker’s Dozen 4-in Turkey Sausage Dog Treats. The ingredients seem good, and both my medium-sized beagle mix and my Great Dane absolutely love them — they get excited every time I open the bag! The only downside is that these treats are pretty crunchy, so they may not be ideal for small dogs or older dogs who’ve had dental work or sensitive teeth. For dogs who can handle a firmer texture, though, they’re a hit. Overall, a solid treat with great flavor appeal!

When I picked this treat I was think it was like a beef jerky texture. No, this is a hard treat. Harder than a dog biscuit. I have dogs of all sizes. The big (boxer and pit bull) dogs they were good for. Took them a little while to chew it. The medium sized dogs ( frenchies) I broke them in half and gave it to them. They did ok with half, but took a while for them to chew. The small dogs (chihuahuas). Also got halves. I couldn’t break them any smaller with my hands. Took them a LONG time to chew them. They all seemed to like them though. They worked through the chewing to eat them. I just thought they would be more like a beef jerky softer texture.

Buddy was given this treat after his a.m. and p.m. feedings. I noticed the first day he was drinking more water than usual. After the third day of giving him these new treats and still drinking more water than usual (his water bowl was empty by early evening) I checked the ingredients. The third ingredient is salt. I checked his other bags of treats and none of them had salt as an ingredient. I will not be giving this treat to my dog.

Ridgeback concern

My ridgeback absolutely loved the smell and taste of the product but i only gave a 4 because even though i was not able to cut it or break it she started to chew

My ridgeback absolutely loved the smell and taste of the product but i only gave a 4 because even though i was not able to cut it or break it she started to chew and then swallowed the whole thing! i worried for 2 days that she would have a blockage. My recommendation is that it should be for much smaller dogs who would not be able to swallow whole.
