Tasty treat - Unsure if Calming

These treats are very fragrant - my dog was super excited to try them as soon as I popped open the tin. The container they come in is lovely and keeps the treats

These treats are very fragrant - my dog was super excited to try them as soon as I popped open the tin. The container they come in is lovely and keeps the treats fresh, which is a plus when those resealable bags always seem to make my pups treats go stale no matter what! He was excited to gobble them up, and while we started with just a few in to see how he reacted with them, even when we used the right 'dosage' on the canister, we weren't really sure if they had too much of a calming effect. We were hoping perhaps this would be the solution we were looking for to cut his nails. He gets SO worked up it's impossible to trim his nails as he gets far too squirmy. Unfortunately even with these, he wouldn't find his zen enough for that. Regardless of if their calming properties work or not, he does love them! They must be a tasty treat!

This works! Nothing insane, you aren’t going to think your dog is sedated but it definitely helped my dog calm down with the noises that normally bother her. If she hears someone outside, car door slamming, other dogs barking - she typically reacts by barking. Since using this for a few weeks, she’s settled a bit more and doesn’t seemed too concerned about the noises. Enjoying that she can relax a little more than normal.

Good Calming Chews, Just Not Consistent

I have four dogs between 50–70 lbs, so I have to give each of them four chews. Because of that, the container doesn’t last very long. I mostly use these in the evenings

I have four dogs between 50–70 lbs, so I have to give each of them four chews. Because of that, the container doesn’t last very long. I mostly use these in the evenings during storms, and they do help my dogs relax without knocking them out, but the results vary. Sometimes they seem to work quickly, other times it takes a while or isn’t as noticeable. The dogs eat them like treats, though, which makes it easy. Overall I like them and will keep using them, but I just wish the effects were more consistent and the tub went further with big dogs.

Hopeful for continued help w/ storm fear over time

I took my time to submit a review because my big dog has a sensitive stomach and is prone to gastrointestinal issues. He’s also very frightened by thunderstorms. I wanted to make sure it didn’t upset his stomach and we had some adverse weather to see if we could tell if he was more calm. I am confident in reporting this treat didn’t cause him any tummy trouble and do think it has taken some edge off if his storm worries. My hope is that over time he’ll continue to be bothered less but know his fear won’t be forgotten quickly.

Incredibly impressed by this calming chew. Used it with my GSD who can get anxious and worked up easily. In the past I have tried many OTC calming chews and they have never had much of an effect. Gave my 71# dog four chews according to the instructions and she was noticeably relaxed and settled without being overly sedated. The chews are easily broken up in small pieces. They are soft and were gobbled up so she liked the taste.

Dogs enjoy them, not sure how calming they are

I was pretty excited about these because I had some guest visits and events coming up where people would be in our home or we'd be taking our dogs into social settings

I was pretty excited about these because I had some guest visits and events coming up where people would be in our home or we'd be taking our dogs into social settings. I figured these would help them feel calmer in those situations. My dogs are thrilled about these supplement "treats" but I think that's really all they are - treats. My dogs took the recommended dose for their weights and across 4 different events/visits I'd say their behavior was unchanged by taking these. Not sure I'd rely on them for anything besides maybe helping your pup wind down or maybe sleep better?

I have only used these for a couple days but they do seem to relax my dog. The true test will be a car ride to see if she can remain relaxed. But as for the taste

She was trying to get into the can when I was taking the pictures. They are nice and soft and break easily. The tin that they come in with the screw top lid is nice too.

Treats in general are a positive redirection from emotional discomfort and stress, but we feel even better when there is an added health benefit. His overall demeanor when given these chews is seemingly more at ease and is less figity.
