Feeding Instructions
To keep your pet bird healthy, the water and seed cups should be cleaned daily and unsoiled food should be replenished as needed. When introducing a new food, do so gradually by replacing current seed with Hagen Gourmet in small increments. Some birds may select their favorite ingredients from their food. Supplementing with a vitamin and mineral supplement such asPRIMEis recommended. Providing a small amount of fresh greens daily is also recommended.

My bird, Groot, really enjoyed these seeds. He definitely liked to pick through and eat the different types of seeds. Although, he had his favorite seeds that he liked to eat first. It’s a hefty bag. Very minimal dust or crushed seeds. This will bag should last for a very long time. If you have one bird like me, I would freeze it in bags to preserve its freshness.
Odd fragrance to the bag, seed variety lackluster.

Upon opening the bag, a strong pine-like scent immediately hit me. It smelled strongly enough that I worried it was an artificial fragrance. The seed variety was very poor, so the bag has the nutritional content of packing peanuts at best. The sunflower seeds were dry, the millet was cracked, and large stem fragments had not been filtered out of the seed content. Even the wild birds outside declined to sample it. Cannot recommend this product.

My parrots have never eaten ‘seed’ mix before so are hesitant. The seed mix does appear to be good quality, not dusty and smells pleasantly fresh. If my birds were seed eaters I would order it again.
