great treat
I have an elderly (17 years old) cat who is extremely fussy about her food. While she will eat Fancy Feast fish pate's sometimes, she will always eat the Delectables Stew. Since its not a complete meal nuitrition wise, she gets a bit of senior (11+ years) )kibble, a bit of pate, and a bit of the stew.
Picky eater eats this!
My senior Siamese loves this stuff. First she licks off all the tasty stew juice, then she takes her time eating the meaty bits throughout her kitty day. The face that it has added vitamins...she doesn't need to know that!
Cats like it, Human not so much
I have an older cat and I like to put a topper on his food. The topper I normally get is higher in price so I wanted to try something more affordable. The pricing and packaging is GREAT My 20 yr old cat LOVES it. He is constantly crying for it. The smell, its AWFULL. It smells like the canned food, which I am not a fan of. It stinks up the room. If you are ok with the smell then I would say this would be great for you. It looks like wet canned food as well. Which makes me question its nutrition value, but that is me being a skeptic.
Great for Seniors
My senior kitty, Jackson, will be 20 this year and has a delicate digestion sytem. Many foods upset his tummy, but Delactables stews and broths do not and he loves the taste. He;s a happy boy and in great shape for a super senior.
Another No thanks from Sweetie
Except she left out the thanks. For a cat that nearly starved to death after she was abandoned or left her previous home, great hunter but toothless, Sweetie has become the fussiest eater on the planet. I thought these would be perfect for her. She took one sniff, I do not think she even tasted it, and came back and sat by me asking for something different. So the young cats are all very happy to have an expensive treat. I really dislike the packaging on these. Even with a spoon its hard to get all the liquid out. At 1.4 oz there is not much there to begin with. You do not want to lose so much per serving.
Only broth my senior cat eats!
My 13 year old cat is very picky but he loves these broth packets! Literally cleans his bowl dry. My only concern ( took off a start) is that delectables are made by HARTZ and they are also the company that sells flea treatments that had many cases of making dogs sick.
Picky eaters will love it
If you have picky eaters who are gravy suckers only then search no more. Plenty of flavors to choose from for even the most finicky palates.
This was certainly appreciated when needed
I purchased this item to help my senior kitty eat. She had a blatter infection and was refusing her regular food. She did eat this, but mostly licked the jiuce (OK, anything to get her to eat). I was able to use this, but one side affect, which is understandable, she got alittle diaherra. She is feeling much better and I have changed her back to her regular, Fancy Feast Petites. This item was a goood item t the time.
My cat's are big fans!
I received a sample box to try from Hartz for my honest opinion and I can honestly say that one of my cat's devoured both flavors but my female cat is very picky so I had to put them in the food processor and make them into a soft pate/bisque for her to eat them but she loved them once I did! I definitely recommend these but I would probably buy the bisque option next time instead. It depends on your cat. Mine just happen to prefer that texture but the flavors were terrific? And, I felt great knowing they were getting extra vitamins they need during this time in their life.
My senior cat acts like a kitten with this treat!
My senior cat has had a chance to try both flavors (Chicken & Tuna and Tuna & Whitefish) and he goes absolutely bonkers for both flavors. It's so fun to see him so excited over treats again. He has issues with his teeth and so has difficulty with hard/dry foods (even though that was his preference for years and he wouldn't go near wet foods...weirdo), so I am thrilled that he's so in love with these lickable treats. Bonus is that they're healthy with added vitamins B & E and contain real meat. The pouches are easy to open and are the perfect portion for 1 serving size. I couldn't be more happy with these treats (and neither can my cat).
