The cats love it, but it is struggling for longevity
Both of my cats adore this scratcher. It is one of many scratchers they have, but the grey part at the bottom is completely demolished with lots of bald patches
Both of my cats adore this scratcher. It is one of many scratchers they have, but the grey part at the bottom is completely demolished with lots of bald patches after only about 5 months, so I'll need to figure out something to fix it. I have cardboard scratchers in heavy use outlasting the carpet on the bottom. Some replaceable element should be available to refurbish that part, since apparently the kiddos like scratching that part too, and it is not ecologically sound to throw out a whole scratcher when a little carpet is damaged.

Its fallen once, but once I figured out the perfect tension it has been perfectly fine. The cats have absolutely loved it, I hear them using it at all hours of the day and it has amplified their play area immensely.

I wanted to get a scratching post to lure the cats away from scratching the chairs. So far it has worked, and I may get another. Our table is not as high as indicated,

Chunky Boy Can't Pull It Over!
My gentleman cat, Harrison, loves this. He is 14-16 lbs. and has pulled over every freestanding scratching post we've tried. He loves to stretch his whole body up

We are on our second one because he decimated the sisal rope portion of the first one. It's very secure, even with our carpeted floor. We have it under the dining room table and he loves scratching it. It has stopped him from scratching the furniture.
