Feeding Instructions

It is important to feed a diet and quantity that meets the lifestyle and needs of the horse. A general guideline for the recommended total amount of concentrates per day:

For maintenance and basic sport: 0.2 - 0.5kg per 100kg body weight.
For (top) sport: 0.5 - 0.75 kg per 100kg body weight. Divide this daily ration into at least 2 - 3 meals per day. Always feed at least 1.5% of your horse/pony's body weight good quality based on dry matter roughage. Fresh drinking water must be available at all times.

Transition Instructions

First two days, a handful of new feed mixed with old feed. After two days mix it 1/4 new 3/4 old feed. The next day, mix it 50/50. the day after that 3/4 new 1/4 old and fully switch to the new feed the day after that.

My older horse loves it!

My old guy has very few grinding teeth left & has been loosing weight. He loves this mash & already has more energy, brighter eyes & is starting to gain weight

My old guy has very few grinding teeth left & has been loosing weight. He loves this mash & already has more energy, brighter eyes & is starting to gain weight. It’s a bit pricey but adding 4lbs per day to his complete feed pellets is definitely worth it.

Slobber Mash is a great way to get your horse hydrated and eating

Horses all love the flavor- I use it 2 ways- in the summer I’ll add a cup to 5 gallons of water and they will drink it down. In the winter I make warm mashes
