I bought this under the impression it was liniment but I think it may be a mislabeled hoof oil. I’ve had nothing but great experiences with Hawthorne so far so I bought this and while doing a spot test on my horse to see how she would react to it, i realized that it didn’t smell like liniment at all. It smelled vaguely of turpentine. Jokes on me for not reading the ingredients before buying this, because it’s mineral oil, turpentine, and pepper. Turpentine through skin absorption is toxic to horses. I love turpentine for hooves, not for skin. Either badly outdated product or mislabeled, I instantly regretted touching my horse’s skin with this and ended up scrubbing her down with dish soap.
