Rancid oil smell

My dogs ate them kind of. Not all at once and not like they would for a fresh treat. I’m afraid they will get the runs from them like they do from other rancid

My dogs ate them kind of. Not all at once and not like they would for a fresh treat. I’m afraid they will get the runs from them like they do from other rancid oil type natural chews (like some pig ears, and chicken feet can be). I am wondering if it’s just the way that Chewy keeps them and stores them rather than the supplier themselves. Because I have gotten the rabbit ears with fur on directly from HDP and they were perfectly fine. Smelled like a piece of an animal should smell when properly dried and stored. They didn’t have a rancid smell at all. These have that old crayon smell.

They’re fresh looking, don’t smell bad, and are good quality (not greasy). Last a little bit longer than something like a dental stick so they’re a good value.
