These steps were super easy to extend and collapse! I was worried about being able to use the steps when I was transporting our big dog alone, but I was able to extend the steps with one hand and a foot while still holding onto a leash. The wide steps were perfect for our big ol scared baby to use and once I trained her with a treat she was very comfortable on them. I would absolutely recommend these steps!

Not suitable for large dogs

My dog is an Anatolian Shepherd - a large frame dog, 130lbs. These stairs were not strong enough to hold him. They didn't crumple, but stability was terrible - I

My dog is an Anatolian Shepherd - a large frame dog, 130lbs. These stairs were not strong enough to hold him. They didn't crumple, but stability was terrible - I had to brace them with my body and the dog still fell off at the top. The tread depth and height is also unsuitable for anything this large.

Wide steps

This is for my bulldog. The only downfall is they have to be used in the very back only as in the picture. Too wide for rear passenger door. Hes still getting use

The steps extend out very far, allowing a gradual slope, and the wide steps are great for a dog with balance issues. Treat training took less than 10 minutes. They are light enough to manage easily by myself.

I purchased the wide stairs with the extra step. I use them for my Ram pickup. I have 2 large German Shepherds. One is getting old and the other is sickly. I held there collars and with no fuss they went right up the stairs. Did same coming down. So much better than a ramp!

Helpful for my aging dogs, but not as hoped for

I drive a Tacoma, which has nowhere to put the wide step and handles. So we have to have the top stair on the seat for them to succeed. Unfortunately, its height

I drive a Tacoma, which has nowhere to put the wide step and handles. So we have to have the top stair on the seat for them to succeed. Unfortunately, its height doesn't allow the steps to fully deploy; they end up on an angle near the bottom, rather than the bottom step being flat on the ground or garage floor. It's okay, we'll make do because they need it.
