Love this product

I started using this June 2021 when I moved chicks into the coop. Once a week I will add some to cover poop and have been doing this with original hemp for 11 months. There is absolutely no smell and the only dust I’ve noticed is the DE I mix in. Small crusher fine in their run but will NEVER use anything else in their coop but this hemp. I may clean it all out this summer and add fresh but based on the smell I really don’t need to

Too Dusty for indoor use

We bought this for our pet rats thinking it was more natural and better than pine, but very dusty. It's probably good for outdoor animals, but not indoor ones.

Hemp bedding

Chewy.com provided fast and affordable shipping and I had a good experience with them as usual. The bedding on the other hand, I bought because I have heard that hemp is low dust and long lasting for poultry. I was very disappointed in the product as it was much more expensive than my usual pine bedding and even more dusty. The absorbancy and odor control is equivalent to the pine shavings. I would not buy this product again as I can get just as much dusty bedding for a fraction of the cost.

Works very well for my chicken house

I used to use river sand inside my chicken coop and when cleaning would use a litter scoop and was very easy, but the local place was out this time and I read about this hemp bedding and I love it! I would only use it in a area that’s going to be out of the rain. It works perfect for my coop. It’s way lest dust and smells great.

Hemp bedding

I was with a new client who was using this in their coop. I was amazed that with even fresh poo there was absolutely no smell. So that's why I bought it to try with my 3 coops. He was doing the deep litter so I am sure my doing it thinly it should work wonderful.

bunny litter

I really wanted to make this product work. I was hoping to replace the litter/bedding combo I’m currently using for my rabbits litter box with this. It’s super high quality, it’s perfectly soft and comfortable, I didn’t notice a scent or have issues with dust. I love this except that I found I had to clean my rabbits litter box more frequently than with other litters. Which wasn’t 100% a dealbreaker for me, but this litter doesn’t absorb moisture. There would be a puddle of pee forming within a day or so, I stopped using it when I noticed that. I would use this permanently if I had time to clean my rabbits litter box everyday. My rabbit likes this litter so I’m going to use it to make a digging box for him. Still glad I tried it.

Dusty and Not Absorbant

It's pretty much in the headline. I found this to be very dusty and it didn't seem particularly absorbent. That's a poor combination for small animals. I have used another hemp bedding which was better so it's not the kind of bedding much as this particular brand/line.

worst hemp

Dusty and full of seeds! Smelled of mildew and looks like what they scrape at the end of the harvest.

Very dusty

I got this bedding for my rats because it was advertised to have low dust. But opening up the bag there was SO MUCH dust. I would not use this for bedding for your small animal.

Great for rats

I use this bedding in my rat's critter nation cage with an acrylic tray I made. They love to forage around in it and it has caused no sneezing. Safer alternative than some other substrates/beddings.
