As the title of this review states, the seams ripped within 10 minutes of my Australian Shepherd playing with it. I followed the instructions and inflated until the wrinkles were out of it and added a couple pumps to account for the air loss during plug insertion. It was not over or under inflated as per the directions. I brought it home and stiched the rips with 120 lb fishing line, and attempted to tape the seams. She ripped the tape off in the first minute and continued to rip the factory seams... the fishing line held up. If you don't have an industrial sewing machine to make repairs, I wouldn't even consider this product. Hand sewing was difficult. The dog loved it, but not for long. Not worth the money!

I have a 11 month old Australian Shepherd (about 50 lbs) and although he just LOVED this toy, I would not recommend it. It is not durable. On the second play day, the zipper broke open, and he was able to rip the cover of the ball. Chewy kindly sent me a replacement herding ball and within moments of first play for the second ball, the same thing happened, plus the inner ball punctured. Both times were during supervised play. This is not a toy for hard playing dog with a lot of energy.

I got this for a backup for when my dog finally lost/wrecked her other herding ball. I just inflated this and my dog grabbed it by the handle, shook it around and the handle and patch of fabric tore off and the ball got punctured. She was not being overly aggressive with it and her herding balls usually last her awhile. Definitely was not well made, extremely disappointed in this product.

I have a GSD that loves her herding balls. I bought this smaller one as her larger one is impossible to store. This is the 25” model, plenty big enough the she can not get her mouth around it. I was excited at first. The cover and ball itself were a nice heavy material. There are two pumps, plenty of plugs, and very clear instructions. I was not sure about the handle as it gives the dog something to grab onto. I received this on Tuesday and saved it for today, Sunday funday, to inflate. It was easy to inflate per the instructions. It literally took 3 trips around the yard before I had to take it away from my now super disappointed dog. As you can see from the photos, the zipper split. And the ball was not over-inflated. There was actually a tiny bit of play in the cover. When I inspected this zipper malfunction, I also noticed that the stitching was coming apart in a couple spots. Packing it all up in the box after inflating this ball does not seem possible. It came in very compact packaging. The quality is such a huge disappointment. This ball was a very expensive, disposable, 5 minute toy. I am under no preconceived notion that balls last with a GSD. But this product does not even stand a chance with any size herding dog. It was self- destructing before we had even a few minutes of play time. Truly a waste of hard earned money .

Im only giving a 4 star cuz my dog didnt like it but the product itself is fine. My doggo is a herding dog so i figured this was going to be a shoe-in for him. Hes bigger than it but yet was terrified by it rolling back towards him when we first used it and since then he has avoided it like the plague. The materials are strong and its extremely weather resistant. Storms, Snow, extremely hot weather, still filled with air and no damage to it at all. Love that it comes with a pump and several different attachment pieces as well as a cover for the ball. My dog didnt like it but its a very high quality toy.

I ordered the 18” ball but the box actually says 17”. While this ball was very expensive, I still ordered it. Not completely satisfied. It was hard to get all the wrinkles out of the ball without over inflating it, and then it’s hard to get the zipper closed. It is oval shaped, not round. My dog likes it and will play with it. But it doesn’t roll the best being egg shaped. If I let air out it gets wrinkles in the cover. Disappointing for the price.
