The water should enter the bowl when the bottle is squeezed. Please check that the straw is attached to the bowl, inside the bottle.

Does the bowl screw on to a commercially purchased water bottle or does it only fit the bottle it comes with?

The top and bottom piece are not designed to fit on other products.

Replaced one from 7 years ago. Seems like the old one was easier to squeeze which is where it finally broke down and cracked in the indents. The new one seems more

Replaced one from 7 years ago. Seems like the old one was easier to squeeze which is where it finally broke down and cracked in the indents. The new one seems more stiff but functions the same. It’s just harder to fill the bowl. Hoping it will become more pliable with use.

Multiple fatal design flaws 1) leakage - no way to prevent water coming up if squeezed in pack 2) it takes a big squeeze to get water up if doing by hand, which sticks if you have pain in your hands (arthritis) 3) once it's up, it doesn't stay up - doesn't work for hand pain 4) seal is weak, when squeezed, water doesn't come up fluidly, it bubbles and makes sounds which the dog hates and refuses to drink out of. Going back to sharing a water bottle and using portable bowl.

Difficult to use

This plastic is so thin it is difficult to use as you squeeze it and if you don’t hold it tight, the water drains back into the bottle before the dog can drink!

Perfect for walks and hikes!

This is such a great design for walking and hiking with my pup, especially in the summer heat. I love that you can fill the bowl just for as long as your dog needs

This is such a great design for walking and hiking with my pup, especially in the summer heat. I love that you can fill the bowl just for as long as your dog needs water, and then it goes right back into the bottle when you stop squeezing. It helps me feel certain that I'll have enough water to give my dog for however long we're out, rather than dumping unused water out from a collapsible bowl. When I read the reviews before purchasing, I thought it was silly that it got lower ratings partially because the water goes back in like that - that's the whole point of getting this instead of a travel bowl. I also love that this fits in the cupholder of my car, so I can easily offer more water to my dog at stoplights when we're driving. I haven't had any problems with it leaking when I carry it in a bag. My dog was a little unsure of the sound it made when I first tried it, but once she needed water on a walk she was happy to use it.

dissapointing

Tried this while traveling with our Mazie (48# Mountain Cur for reference). Several attempts to get her to drink from it, unsuccessful. I would squeeze the bottle

Tried this while traveling with our Mazie (48# Mountain Cur for reference). Several attempts to get her to drink from it, unsuccessful. I would squeeze the bottle to fill the "bowl" portion (which is very small) and before she could even drink a little it would start to empty back in to the container. Not what I expected.
