Feeding Instructions
For a 1.5-inch Betta (from tip of nose to base of tail – before fin), feed 3 pellets of Betta Bio-Gold up to 3 times daily. Add 1 pellet per 1/4-inch of growth, never feeding more than 5 pellets at one feeding. You can do more feedings but make sure they are at least 3 hours apart and at least that amount of time before all lights are out in the room. During feedings, feed 1 one pellet at a time and make sure the Betta completely consumes each pellet. Do not over-feed, overfeeding can be detrimental to the Betta and the water quality. Remove any uneaten food after the feeding period.

A friend came to visit and brought his betta, then FORGOT to take it home with him. The poor thing was just in a tall bottle with zero features for his comfort and no room to swim. I got him a 3.5 gallon tank kit and live plants and pellets that were just too large for him. He could rarely get one in his mouth. Then I discovered Hikari and presto-change-o the fish LOVES them and eats 5 or 6 of them within a few seconds. He is more energetic and colorful and happy now

But I had wanted to order the smaller size packs, not the pouch. With the smaller size, it is easy to feed the number of pellets per day the fish need. But with this pouch, I seem to get a giant handful each time, and waste a lot. Please bring back the smaller size or some other container for this Hikari food!

It's especially great if you have a small betta, because the pellets are small so there is no need to have to crush them up and make a mess. The packaging of the small size also makes it hard to accidentally spill much, and I haven't had any problems with it going stale.

A lot of the other brands have a larger pellet. The fish have a hard time eating and ends up making a messy tank. And let’s not forget about Chewy being the best! Their customer service is amazing. Definitely good, oddly my fish also has an allergy to certain foods (he looks like he gets hives, weird to explain and yes he's fine, he's spoiled.) This didn't give him any reactions so that's an added bonus!
