This variety would not be recommended for dogs who are younger than 7 years old. It is specifically formulated for mature dogs.

Poor packaging

When I picked up the box from the porch o could hear rattling inside, something loose. When we opened the box, the dog food bag was opened and had spilled food

When I picked up the box from the porch o could hear rattling inside, something loose. When we opened the box, the dog food bag was opened and had spilled food all over the box. Grease had set in on the cardboard. Half the bag was emptied in the box and I was concerned to use the remainder of the bag, not knowing how or why the bag was opened. This is not the first time this has happened but it is the first time it has been this bad. I paid for a bag of dog food and could not use it. The cat food (purple box) was destroyed because of the other heavy items in shipping. This is just poor packaging.

Hills Science diet senior adult 7+ SMALL BITES chicken dry dog food. My dog is small at 10 lbs. He's almost 17 years old and missing many of his teeth. This food

Hills Science diet senior adult 7+ SMALL BITES chicken dry dog food. My dog is small at 10 lbs. He's almost 17 years old and missing many of his teeth. This food works great for my dog. Its a solid quality dog food. I add a little warm water to it and let it soak for a few minutes and then stir in a little good canned food as well. (Nutro premium loaf canned w chicken, I get from Chewy) He laps it all up and licks the bowl clean. I feed him this meal two times a day. At his age it's really important that he not skip meals. Sometimes I switch the canned portion to another one of his favorites but I always keep the dry portion the same. Also this Hills small bites food keeps my dog regular. Too much canned food slows his bowels. So using this as a main ingredient keeps his system working properly which is super important especially at his age. I highly recommend.

I wrote to the company and they informed me that they changed the formula and kibble size and shape. If it's not broke don't fix it Science Diet. We switched them to Victor and will never purchase the "new and improved" version of this food again.

I have fed this food to both of my dogs since the day they joined our family. My girl lived to be 17.5 years old with no major health issues until well into her senior years (age 16 or so). My boy is 16, and is now only showing health issues related to old age. I highly recommend this food to anyone who is looking for a high quality pet food.

Have been using this product for over a year and both dogs seem to like it. I do supplement with lightly cooked meat(beef, chicken, turkey, pork and salmon. With every meal. They also get a little home made broth in every meal as well. Both of my dogs are rescues Benny 7+_ and Bonny 12. Benny standard and Bonny mini. I would like to be able to provide some variety in kibble flavor sometimes. I feed 7+ small bites.
