Do I have to refrigerate the unused portion?

It is recommended to refrigerate the unused portion.
After opening the pouch & we didn’t finish the food, should the left over food be refrigerated ❓

Hill's Science Diet pouch products are intended to be used as a single serve and do not have storage recommendations for that reason. The pouches are not resealable so the product inside should not be stored once the package has been opened.
Protein and phosphorous percentage on a dry matter basis, please?

This recipe has a protein content of 38.6% on a dry matter basis. The phosphorus content is 0.81% on a dry matter basis.

Cats approved

Bought this because our prescription hills science diet k/d canned food was on back order. My cats are seniors. Nutritionally I’m not 100% sure if this is the best alternative to hold us over until their prescription food is back in stock. However, the kitties gobbled this right up, and it was as if I couldn’t empty the packet into their dishes fast enough! So at least I know they like it. No vomiting either.

Very Good Customer Care

I didn’t have much choice to choose from the products for my cats as there weren’t any stocks what I used to order. It is taking time for my cats to get used to tasting something a little deterrent. However, the representatives were very kind and patient to deal with the ongoing shortage of certain products.

Can't Find Anything Else

My older cat has gotten more picky lately. A few months ago I could no longer find the canned food he liked so I switched to the tender chicken. Now you can't find that in the cans either. My dad who is a vet and sells cat food can't even find them. I was glad to find the pouches so he at least has something to eat! The pouches are very small and my cat eats about 3 a day so a case of 24 only lasts 8 days! Very expensive and wasteful since the pouches can't be recycled like the cans can. They have quite a bit more gravy than the cans, which he really likes, and they seem very fresh. It slides out of the pouch easily with little mess. My cat likes this kind okay but won't always clean up the chunks after he's licked all the juice off. However, my parents' cat won't even try this kind and seems completely repulsed by the smell.

Had to temporarily switch

My GG is on Science Diet sensitive stomach wet food and is on auto delivery. Recently, probably due to transportation and manufacturing issues it is unavailable. I picked this to supplement her until her regular food arrives, whenever that may be. It looks like the filling of a delicious chicken pot pie and was excited to serve her this but for whatever her finicky reason may be she will not eat it.

Wouldn’t eat it

I know Science Diet is top quality cat food. My vet recommended it for my 20 year old cat, but like any old folks, she didn’t take to a change and refused to eat it. I had tried just a few before I bought a whole case, which she did eat, but then started refusing it after I spent a fortune . Argh! Cats!

My two like it!

I had to search for different food as Covid has lingered on. To my surprise both my girls like this (chicken) and the tuna versions. It is very expensive but they like it - so I am happy!

Half the product for almost twice the price.

I understand that we are under a shortage of cans and Hills is trying to solve the problem by putting the food in these pouches. However this is ridiculous. One 5.5oz can is .1 oz less than 2 of these 2.8 ounce packets but has the same amount of gravy that 1 can holds, poured into each pouch. Then they have the nerve to charge us $26.73 more for the same amount of cat food. My cat eats 1- 5.5oz can of food per day. I went from spending $47.59 every 24 days to now spending $37.16 every 12 days (or $74.32 for 24 days). It frustrates me to no end knowing that I can do nothing about it but pay the difference because my cat can not eat any other food. I have tried. This is not Chewy's fault, it's the manufacturing company jacking up their prices.

meaty chunks in broth

Unfortunately my old ladies have decided that they don't want to chew any more. It's time for some dental work! They both loved the gravy but left a pile of uneaten chunks of meat behind.

Kitty food

The food is just as excellent as when in the can. BUT, the pouches are extremely inconvenient compared to the cans. And ounce per ounce, more expensive.
