Where it All Began

Himalayan Pet Supply is the original creator of the Himalayan Dog Chew. Their team supports a network of over 10,000 Himalayan farmers who handcraft these ancient hard cheese chews for dogs around the world. Not only are these chews adored by pups and approved by pet parents, but they are also the only chews that are certified Fair Trade by the World Fair Trade Organization.

Tradition + Innovation

Combining ancient traditions with modern innovation, Himalayan Pet Supply chews start in the Himalayan mountains at over 15,000 feet, near Mount Everest. They are crafted with a winning combination of yak and cow milk and are 100% free from preservatives and binding agents. And since they are made for dogs, they are completely free from lactose, gluten, grain, soy, corn and wheat!

Serving Pets and the Community

Himalayan Pet Supply took part in passing the first laws in Nepal, allowing farmers to insure their livestock as capital. They also support the health and safety of farmers, their livestock and therefore the health and safety of the dogs who enjoy their treats. Doing Good One Chew at a Time

About Himalayan Pet Supply

In 2003, after discovering Kaos the dog loved Chhurpi, a traditional cheese chew made from the people of the Himalayas, two brothers and their friend had an idea to create a dog-friendly version. After 4 years of tweaking the ancient recipe, removing the lactose and fat content, they ended up with a tasty and savory, long-lasting chew, now known as a Himalayan Dog Chew. Himalayan Pet Supply has grown from a small company attending local pet fairs, to now a global company that’s made their mark in the pet industry by creating a new chew category for dogs.

Himalayan dog chew

My dog has loved these since I started giving them to her. I think around eight months old. We started with the small ones then graduated to the-medium size ones

My dog has loved these since I started giving them to her. I think around eight months old. We started with the small ones then graduated to the-medium size ones. until recently but she still likes the small ones until lately. It seems like they changed the formula and she doesn’t like it. They’re rougher on the sides and she’ll chewing it for a little bit, but then hits a certain point and she stops. i’m not sure what they did with it, but I wish they’d go back to the original formula.

Dogs loved them.

Dogs loved these. But only lasted 3 days. My dogs are Shih Tzus roughly 14 and 18 pounds. I just purchased the XL. Hopefully the XL will last longer. Did not give

Broken tooth :(

My dog chewed these for years, but I won’t be purchasing any more since he broke a premolar. :( thankfully he healed up beautifully.

Fell apart into small pieces

My 30-40 lb. golden doodles loved the taste of these, but they chewed them apart immediately and we were left with lots of small sharp pieces. We had to throw them

My 30-40 lb. golden doodles loved the taste of these, but they chewed them apart immediately and we were left with lots of small sharp pieces. We had to throw them out. We’ve tried other brands and haven’t had this issue, so I guess these are just not for aggressive chewers like my dogs.
