Some challenge for treats
I purchased the toy to not only slow down my dog eating treats when I leave the house, but also as something durable she could chew to hopefully help with her separation

Toy not for heavy chewers

Bit off a piece in first few minutes

Not Durable
It was okay at first, but my dog was too able to easily take chunks off and completely destroyed this after only a month or two.

Not the best for hard chewers
My 8 month old Springer Spaniel chews the ends and is able to take pieces off. This item is an awesome idea but not for energetic chewers.

Pet loves the toy without any chew
My puppy is not interested in his chew once it's in the chew guardian (I guess it becomes too much work) but he LOVES this objects as a standalone toy! He romps

Opening is too small for large yak cheese

We've only had this chew toy device for a few weeks. So far it's a hit. I put a Himalayan Yaky Yum cheese stick in it right away and gave it to our boy. (He always
We've only had this chew toy device for a few weeks. So far it's a hit. I put a Himalayan Yaky Yum cheese stick in it right away and gave it to our boy. (He always sniffs the Chewy box when it arrives, so he knew something was for him.) He pranced around proudly with it for a day and a half before he decided to eat the cheese stick! We don't know if he wasn't sure what to do or just didn't want the cheese? The next stick several days later disappeared quickly. The only reason we didn't give this product 5 stars is because we're not sure how long it will hold up to our strong chewer. We always supervise his sessions with it and remove it when he's done with his treat. We will probably get another one when this one wears out.

While this has made her chew last, she doesn't have much interest in chewing on it. Despite being a medium/large dog, she doesn't believe she can fit it in her mouth enough to chew with her molars. As a result, she only chews on it with her front teeth. I bought this because I like the (relative) longevity of yak chews, but I wanted to protect my pups teeth from cracking and breaking. It has been effective in this way.
