Not the best choice for senior cats

I often use freeze dried treats for my 3 cats. Because they are senior kitties, I rehydrate them. I was looking forward to giving them this as they love cheese

I often use freeze dried treats for my 3 cats. Because they are senior kitties, I rehydrate them. I was looking forward to giving them this as they love cheese but the pieces were too large. I tried rehydrating them but it didn't soften them at all but created an oily layer and my cats wanted nothing to do wit it. I also tried crushing them (dried, not rehydrated) and they did eat a few pieces but it got to be to tacky and still too firm for them. I gave them to my neighbor for her dog and her dog absolutely loves them.
