Can this bird house be post mounted?

This birdhouse uses the included mounting bracket to provide support to the house as you hang it on a wall or post.

Looks great but terrible attention to detail

Although we like how the birdhouse looks I had to ding them to 3 stars do to the complete lack of quality control. First, the bottom of the birdhouse is supposed

Although we like how the birdhouse looks I had to ding them to 3 stars do to the complete lack of quality control. First, the bottom of the birdhouse is supposed to have a hole for the mounting pin of the bracket to fit into (as shown in the attached directions). There was no hole drilled so I had to drill it myself. I then went to put it up and used the enclosed drilling template to attach the screws. After then attempting to hang the birdhouse I found out that the template was 1 inch too short. I had to remove the screws and then measure myself and remount the screws to hang the house. The enclosed directions show this EXACT house on them so it wasn't that I got the wrong directions. The house was just that poorly watched for quality control issues. So I would recommend this with reservations. Don't buy any of the Home Bazaar products unless you are ready to have to make changes to them yourself.
