I've tried all the recipes from the honest kitchen and my dog loves all of them, including this one. I love that the food has high quality ingredients. It takes a little extra preparation to put together but it's worth it. I would recommend this food to anyone who wants high quality dog food without all the preservatives and fillers, as long as you don't mind extra preparation.

All four of my dogs devour this as well as our foster dog. We made the switch to this when our vet told us our one dog who has heart issues said he needed to be in a low sodium diet. I feel good switching them from kibble to this knowing how much better it is and how much they love it.

Texture and smell quality are top notch

The texture quality of the dehydrated food is high. The aroma is pleasant. Our dog is a picky eater, but she likes this food. We use it as a component of 6 ingredients

Seems like quality food, but expensive.

They said a 10 lb box makes about 40lbs of food, and that seems legitimate. However, I thought the 40lbs of food might last about as long as my 28lb bag of food

They said a 10 lb box makes about 40lbs of food, and that seems legitimate. However, I thought the 40lbs of food might last about as long as my 28lb bag of food I had been using, but it doesnt. I add chicken breast & veggies to my 2 dogs food. Using slightly less than the minimum recommended amount of dry food, the 10lb box lasted 11 days, where the Taste of the Wild ancient grain 28lb bag lasts 22 days. Im sure it's good, but its also about 2.5x more expensive than their current food.

In case there are others who have a dog who seems to be allergic to every dry dog food out there... This may be for you. Before you question: Yes, he has been to multiple vets, I have tried multiple proteins, multiple grains, no grains, multiple brands too. He is allergic to all of them. So I wanted to try wet foods to see if there is something inherent to dry food that is actually the problem. Thankfully, this change has helped and he can go months without symptoms. He does great on Fresh Pet but for my own sanity and ease of use, I tried this. He does better on the grain free turkey; some of his symptoms came back as soon as we started him on the whole grain. But since you are scooping out food just like with dry food, and I have always added water to their food, so that isn't much of a change, this is easier on me than some of the other fresh/ wet food options. Next we are going to try the grain free turkey food clusters to see how those pan out.. We may end up going back to the dehydrated food... I just wish it came in a bigger box.

Love Honest Kitchen

I feel like this is healthier than kibble but not as expensive as delivery services like Farmer's Dog. Needless to say, my dog loves it. It's also great for travel

We really liked the grain-free Beef recipe version of this and thought whole -grain Turkey would be an okay switch, but we found the smell less appetizing and very much filled with visible oats/grains which I don't think Mishko was into. We tried slowly introducing it and mixing with clusters like we were doing with the beef recipe, but he went out of his way to leave the Turkey recipe in the bowl whereas he'd devour the beef. We still like Honest Kitchen but can count this flavor out for our family.

They love it!! Mixed it with some dry since it's new to their little tummies and they gobbled it down. Since I used hot water to soften the dry making that easier for them to eat, and mixed it all up, the ate all of it. I'm sure I made to much the couple of times and shared plates are a thing here.
