Can I store the unopen "wet food" such as "One Pot Stew" in the freezer..?
Answer by ChewyFeb 25, 2021
The Honest Kitchen recommends storing unopened boxes of One Pot Stews or Butchers Block Pates in a cool, dry place instead of the freezer. The recipes are prone to coagulation in the freezer, so while they will still be fresh, they might not look the same after being thawed.

Is this one of honest kitchens human grade food??

Stew is a hit

One of our dogs suddenly refused to eat his dry food. I tried mixing in his favs - cheese, tuna, canned salmon with limited success. Then I saw these stews and decided to try them. The fussy dog now gobbles his dry food when I mix in some stew, licks his bowl and is looking for more. The cats like it, too and they won't eat the regular Honest Kitchen. Even my husband said it looked so good he might try it! Thank you Honest Kitchenfor your innovation, and for giving us pet parents healthy & convenient options we can feel good about. And thank you Chewy for carrying high quality products.

Mushy Stew

The Honest Kitchen should be commended for their non-plastic packaging. It takes a small spatula to get everything out of the "juice pack" design. However, the consistency is mushy - between a wet pate and a runny stew. I know that dog food is designed for people, but I have a little trouble eating it, and have to wipe my face on the carpet when done.

My go to dog food

I like the Honest Kitchen foods. I always put some fresh turkey or chicken pieces on top for her and mix it with some healthy vitamins and quality dry food. One box lasts 3 days for my Chihuahua. My only complaint is all their boxes are really hard to open. I'm older and have some arthritis, so each box is a struggle.

Very surprised

Same like everyone my pup has been picky. I have tried the regular cheap brown pellet hard food but I've done switched over to buying the clusters which my dog can eat even by themselves but these stews and bone broths actually are quality because he just chows everything down. I highly recommend that everyone should get human grade or better for their companions cause they deserve it, not that cheap crap that gets processed with other bad ingredients in a lab and factory. Honest kitchen is one of the best brands out there

Good for the body

I got this because I wanted to increase my dog's intake of natural salmon. Both my dogs liked it. It's a hit.

Puppy loved it!

My 2 older babies eat anything. My new Pom puppy is picky. All three loved this particular stew out of an assortment of Honest Kitchen I tried. Added this to my auto ship. Great ingredients- human grade.

Picky GSD Approved

My picky german shepherd mix Rose loves this. My hound/lab mix will eat anything. The ingredients are good and human grade. The only thing is this does not look appetizing, at least to us humans.

My German Shepherd Loves This!

My dog is a picky eater who gets bored with the same old food all the time, so I have to switch it up for him. HE LOVES THIS STUFF!!! He starts dancing all over the kitchen when I'm preparing his meals! Not much to prepare, though, since it's all in a box that you cut open and pour into his bowl. I've already made a second purchase. It comes in four different flavors. I usually mix it with some dry food and he's got a great meal!

Tried it but...

My dog did not like it. Sure wish there was a way to purchase samples of each of the pet foods first.
