How long will one package last before it needs refilled with 1-2 cats?

Answer by HannahbOct 01, 2025
I would say one package between two cats would last 1.5-2 weeks. Two bags lasts us 2-3 weeks with frequent cleaning between our three cats.

Is this litter considered flushable?

Answer by ChewyMar 31, 2025
The cat litter is flushable. However, only in small quantities. When it’s time to completely replace the litter, please dispose of it in the trash.

What are all the ingredients in this litter and are there scent additives? If so, what are the scent additives?

Answer by ChewyJan 19, 2025
This Tofu cat litter is made from beans (the same ingredients as tofu) and bentonite clay. It is naturally safe for pets and parents, ensuring a gentle and healthy environment with a Petrichor Scent which releases a pleasant lily scent upon contact with cat urine.

Does this work in an automatic litter box too?

Answer by ChewyMay 12, 2025
This litter is made from natural bean husks and bentonite clay for quick clumping and easy scooping. Please check the specifications of your automatic litter box to ensure it is compatible as not all automatic litter boxes are the same.

Ultimately unsure how I felt about it

I hate scented litters and they're really unhealthy for cats, so I want to first state that I didn't get a scented product on purpose. I need to be more observant. But because I did make the purchase anyway, my rating is for the product's function and not because of a feature it said it had that I didn't notice. I'm not sure how effective of a mixture it was. It worked fine in our popur auto boxes but tofu litter in general doesn't do anything to cover poop so the clay had to do the heavy lifting there, and it just wasn't the best clay formula I've dealt with (didn't help much with smell and was hard to scoop in the regular boxes). It was a little less dusty than expected but not by much. I like tofu litter on paper but its execution leaves a lot to be desired for me, at least with the pellets - I feel like if the tofu litter in this mix were GRANULES like the clay then this would have been able to be 5 stars. The quest to find a suitable litter that doesn't break the bank continues...

My oldest girl kitty had an ingrown claw and when the vet trimmed the claw ( it had punctured a paw bean) she suggested a pine pellet litter so that it would stay out of the wound. I am not a big fan of the inside of my house smelling like a gas station bathroom so I opted for a tofu based litter with a " lily" fragrance. I honestly don't smell any fragrance. My kitty took to the new litter very fast and even though her paw bean has healed, I think I will continue to buy it for her.

A lil skeptical since it is cheap! BUT! With constant 2-3 day scoop cleaning it does a great job masking odors and great at clumping. Have had no issues with the litter itself. For shipping: past 6 months I have gotten at least 3 unsealed or ripped bags chewy has been great as refunding/sending a new bag at no charge. That is the only downside I have experience ordering this litter

This was good litter but I went back to my heavy clay based litter. I liked that this litter was light and easy to transport. Unfortunately my cats decided to not bury their poo with this litter! So with the poo sitting on top it didn't help with odor control. Also, it would get caught in my cats paws and they would transport it throughout the house but not as far as the clay. I think it depends on how big your cats paws are to whether or not they transport it. At least clay blends in with my grey carpet but the white rods really showed up so I was vacuuming constantly instead of every two or three days to clean up the clay. Honestly, it's worth it to try this litter and see if your cat likes it or if you do!

Dust, poor odor control

Worst “tofu” litter ever. It’s mixed but honestly it’s mostly clay. It was extremely dusty to the point my poor cat was coughing. I had to completely throw it out

Worst “tofu” litter ever. It’s mixed but honestly it’s mostly clay. It was extremely dusty to the point my poor cat was coughing. I had to completely throw it out after 2 days. DO NOT BUY THIS LITTER. It’s affordable but you’re throwing your money in the trash and endangering your cat.

I have PetKit automatic litterboxes, and for a while I bought PetKit tofu litter for them. Then I discovered the Honeycare brand -- at about half the cost, and frequently available from Chewy in BOGO deals of some sort -- worked just as well, and the rest was history! It's great for the automatic boxes. Only drawback is the weight of the boxes I have to haul inside when UPS delivers them!! LOL

This is affordable and effective! Clumps great.

I alternate between this tofu litter and the pricier Pidan. They both work just as well, but this is about 2/3 the price, if that. The Pidan has extra odor coverage,

I alternate between this tofu litter and the pricier Pidan. They both work just as well, but this is about 2/3 the price, if that. The Pidan has extra odor coverage, but that aside, this is an equal product and tofu is the best cat litter I have ever used (I have tried them all).

I actually really like this cat litter, and have started ordering it from chewy because I like buying it in bulk, since it works wellwith my cats and I go through a decent amount of it. However, I’ve been getting charged for the amount of the multi pack and only receiving one singular package don’t know why? Feel very ripped off.

This litter is so much better with dust and odor than the old clay one I was using. It is still clumping so easy to clean the litter box. I will say that it does still stick to my kitties paws and it gets tracked outside of the litter box, but I like that the pieces are larger and easier to sweep up than the regular litter.

Great litter. It does still track on the floor but my cat really likes it. And it seems to last longer than other litters I've used. A side benefit for me is that it doesn't mess with my allergies. Because of the low-dust, I don't have sinus reactions when I'm cleaning and refilling the litter box.
