I was a little weary of this leash and collar system. Normal leashes with the standard clips have always worked fine for us. This one is very different, it attaches via a magnetic locking mechanism. It is very quick to attach and it feels very sturdy. He haven't had need to truly test the strength of the clasp, but in general usage it feels perfectly sturdy. A friend and I also tested by yanking on it ourselves (no dog involved!) and it had no issues staying attached. The material is light weight but feels durable. It also has a loop near the front of the leash to help get a more controlled grip and keep your dog nearer to you. The only downside is that the clasp is a little bulky. It didn't look out of place on our german shepherd/husky mix but for a smaller dog it might just be a little too large. While very quick to get on, it is a little slower to take off since you need to press in two buttons on the side to release the clamp. Not a problem if your dog holds mostly still, but if you've got one that just can't sit still for a few seconds a normal leash might be easier. Getting it on though is much easier than a standard clasp. Only other downside is that if you get this collar and leash you can't use them with any others. Most leashes and collars out there you are perfectly interchangeable but in this one you are locked in. Could become an issue in an emergency or something where you don't have the right leash.

I think this leash is very interesting and well-made. It is definitely a "quick clip" to the collar without having to fidget with trying to attach a clasp to a hole in a hook on a collar. You must buy the Quick Clip Collar that matches the leash for this to work. I think it would be great for someone who travels with their pet or has hand issues. I will keep the leash attached to the collar and just Quick Clip the collar on my dog when I'm ready for a walk.
