Great for dogs who nudge and push
I was super excited to get this product and introduce my dogs to another form of enrichment. I wanted to see more specifically if my dogs would enjoy and be good at treibball. Unfortunately one of my dogs chose to bite and shred the soccer ball fabric cover and then grabbed a portion of the ball and ripped it off to deflate it. Given his reaction to the ball, it would seem that I have a large breed with a big bite. But, I actually have a 40lb poodle lol My other poodle played with it appropriately, nudging and pushing it. I now know toys of this size are too much stimulation for him and he goes to a destructive place and treats the toy like enemy #1
Doesn't Hold Up
I've bought several of these 30- and 40-inch balls for my horse because he absolutely loves to play with them. But, without a cover they only last about a day. With a cover they last about a week before the cover is ripped apart and the ball is popped. I even tried reinforcing the seams on the covers and stitching the opening shut, but it didn't help. If they made these products to withstand my horse's play, I would continue buying them. But not if they don't last. If they made a cover similar to a hay net, that might possibly help.
Won't stay inflated
Pro: My dog loves this ball. She plays with it until her tongue is hanging out and we have to take the ball away from her! Con: It will not stay inflated. We have gone through two of them and they quickly get small pin holes in them and deflate, requiring daily refills of air for proper use. Don't even last a week.... :-(
Lots of fun!
My boxer pup loves these balls. I know they are for horses, but I’ve had a hard time finding a ball that she can’t destroy in a matter of minutes. I’ve had all 3 sizes at different times. Definitely need to cover them so they last longer. I made the mistake of not getting a cover for one of them and it popped within days of getting it. The one thing I don’t like is the cover needs to be better made. She ends up getting the seam apart and dragging the ball around by the seam of the cover. But, at least the ball doesn’t pop.
My Border Collie loves this giant ball. She herds it all over the uard. I will order smaller sizes, so she has 3 or 4 to herd. Got the cover also. She thinks it's the best thing ever!
Very well made
I originally bought this for Gouda the goat at the barn where I board my horse. She is in a small pasture with two mini horses. None of them seem to be very interested in the ball. I know it scared one of the minis when I first put it into the pasture. But it is a very durable ball and who knows? Maybe one of the horses will be interested soon.
2 seconds and it popped! Are you kidding me!!!
We had it out in the yard for 2 seconds and it popped. A huge waste of my money!!! Why is this so thin? Why wouldn’t it be thicker and more durable especially for animals?
Will not hold air
I do not recommend. This product deflated the first day with zero animal contact. We added more air thinking the material had just stretched. The second day it deflated again. This toy is nothing more than an expensive exercise ball. Do not waste your money.
Not for dogs
I have bought 2 of these balls different sizes. My English Mastiff popped them in minutes of playing with them. I even bought the ball cover. I know this is a horse toy. It’s really just an exercise ball.
Horse mens mega ball
In my opinion it was not worth the money. One horse was afraid of it and the other three ignored it. When we tried to play with it with them, they all took off running.
