The ball can be deflated. The longer you can keep your ball inflated the longer it will last. Deflating and then re-inflating causes the ball to stretch out and become weak.

would this be suitable for barnyard polo? Hitting it with a broom from horseback?

Did not last today.They didn't even get a chance to play with it.After we used the hand pump on it to after we blew it up.It's about thirty inches is what the direction said.Put it, you know.It was in the sleeve, the cover, it popped.We don't know why we looked in the yard to make sure there was no sharp objects.Just popped, we don't know why we think that the plug made it pop.That's the only thing we can think of

I can't fill it completely up with air or he'll pop it within a couple of hours by biting it. (He chomped a chunk right out of it through the cover.) But it's pretty

I can't fill it completely up with air or he'll pop it within a couple of hours by biting it. (He chomped a chunk right out of it through the cover.) But it's pretty sturdy and he's VERY rough with it. He'll go running to get it & absolutely loves it. It's nice and thick material. Only drawback is it comes with 3 plugs that will come out with hard play and the plugs aren't sold separately. (We think a golf tee might work as a replacement in a bind.) But we've taken to super glueing the plug in with glued tape over the top of it. My horse can still get it popped out. but it's lasting longer. He is a destructor of toys, towels, buckets... anything not out of reach. He bites the ball and carries it around, terrorizes the his herd mates and is a happy ole man because of his ball. Best purchase ever.

Our Great Dane has a true ball!

Our boy LOVES his “big ball”. We have had it for over 4yrs and its still is great playable shape. (We do change its cover a lot as that gets wear/tear)

I've recently purchased 30" and 40" balls (and covers) for my cow friends at Unity Farm Sanctuary in Sherborn, MA. https://www.unityfarmsanctuary.org/ They love to play with them, I am told especially in the evenings, so I haven't actually seen them play yet as I have been visiting in the afternoons. They do eventually pop due to their size ("Bob Crockett" is about 6'1"!), which is to be expected, so when that happens, I will buy more!
