I bought it for my herding dog. He loves it and it's to big to bite so it is lasting just fine. Good for big or really energetic dogs:>)
I like it, the Aussie likes it! So much fun to watch her try to "herd" this ball.
I’m so glad I went against my gut feelings after reading the reviews. Totally worth it! My rottie loves it.
My two dogs (2 mastiff mixes) loved it and had a blast chasing it around but unfortunately this lasted only 10 mins of supervised play. The ball is not made to withstand canine teeth. It's a bummer because they love chasing it but they get too excited and want to mouth it like a toy. I put a patch on it but there is still a slow leak so I can repump it for each play session but it goes flat overnight.
The item did not come with a foot pump like the product description says. Ball popped within five minutes of play.
I was so excited 2 c how happy my australian shepherd was when i gave him the ball. He loved it. He wouldnt stop playing with it. so its awesome n that aspect. However, could it possibly b made with thicker material? Now my back yard has some vines/small trees growing thru my fences all the way around the yard so im not saying its the companys fault but i assumed a ball made 4 horses 2 play with (i assume outdoors) that the material wouldnt pop from hitting a stick. But i do believe 1 of the vines/trees/branches popped it while he was playing with it so if ur gonna have 1 i guess it needs 2 b n an open pasture bcuz i paid like 60 bux i think with shipping and my dog got 2 play with it 4 a half an hr so that bummed me out. But my dog did like it 4 that half an hr.
I was super excited to get this product and introduce my dogs to another form of enrichment. I wanted to see more specifically if my dogs would enjoy and be good at treibball. Unfortunately one of my dogs chose to bite and shred the soccer ball fabric cover and then grabbed a portion of the ball and ripped it off to deflate it. Given his reaction to the ball, it would seem that I have a large breed with a big bite. But, I actually have a 40lb poodle lol My other poodle played with it appropriately, nudging and pushing it. I now know toys of this size are too much stimulation for him and he goes to a destructive place and treats the toy like enemy #1
My dog loved playing with us ball. Ball popped in 15 min.
I've bought several of these 30- and 40-inch balls for my horse because he absolutely loves to play with them. But, without a cover they only last about a day. With a cover they last about a week before the cover is ripped apart and the ball is popped. I even tried reinforcing the seams on the covers and stitching the opening shut, but it didn't help. If they made these products to withstand my horse's play, I would continue buying them. But not if they don't last. If they made a cover similar to a hay net, that might possibly help.
This toy lives up to the hardiness. If it's tough enough for a horse, my blue heeler is more cautious and doesn't seem to be able to destroy this ball like all the others. she just can't fit it into her mouth and shake it around. lol Great toy and is fun with kids because it also has amazing, controlled bouncing.
