But these boar liver seems okay for them so far which great. Been liking this houndstone pet brand with their variety of liver treats. These are a bit hard so you it doesn’t arrive with much crumbs. We like to add these to our dogs’ meals.

I tried the Houndstone Antelope Liver Freeze-Dried Dog Treats to motivate my two dogs (one large, one medium sized) to do their obedience training. They were so excited about the treats that it took me a moment to discourage them from taking the bag right out of my hands. They really loved the treats, which were just right in size for them to snack on them, having to chew at least some of them (the others were just swallowed in whole). I really appreciate the high protein contents and the health benefits such as the hip and joint and immune support. I prefer feeding them natural products, and the single ingredient formula makes tracking their nutrition intake much easier. So, all in all I really like these treats and I can recommend them wholeheartedly!

These are one of those first class, "who's a really REALLY good boy" type treats, the kind you give to shower love and appreciation on your canine companion. In this case, it was my little twenty pound terrier mix Gustav who was the recipient of these delightful treats. The moment the smell first hit him, he went from curled up sleeping in his cuddle bed to being on full alert, wondering where that delicious scent was coming from. Indeed, my human nose can detect that these treats do have a very strong smell to them, which in my experience, tends to delight and excite dogs. It was a real trick to get him to sit long enough to get a picture of him. He kept dancing and fidgeting in anticipation, whereas normally he sits quite patiently for his treats. There was no gentle savoring once he got this treat; no, he threw back his head and chomped that bit of liver in uncontrolled excitement. He immediately afterward came back and sat at my feet, hoping for more. (Yes, I gave in.) I do want to note that I was sent antelope liver instead of boar liver. I really appreciate that these are a single ingredient food; it is freeze dried liver, and nothing else. My Gustav has food sensitivities, so I have to be careful what kind of treats he gets, or else he will get really itchy. I have no worry that these treats will contain something unsafe for him. The size of each piece is not too large for him. They vary in size, but the chunks are approximately 1" x 1/2" x 1/2", give or take a little. The texture and consistency of these treats is soft and puffy, sort of like cheesy poofs, but with less crunch. (As I am typing this, Gustav is back again seeing if maybe he can have another. He REALLY likes these.) So to summarize, these are an excellent treat in both taste and in my confidence that they are safe for a dog with food sensitivities. I would recommend them to anyone.

5 Stars – Dog Approved and Sensitive Stomach Friendly! I gave my dogs the Houndstone Antelope Freeze-Dried Liver treats, and they loved them! They’re small in size but clearly big in flavor based on my dogs’ excited reactions. I also love that they’re all-natural and made with a single ingredient—perfect for sensitive stomachs. It feels great giving them a treat that’s both healthy and delicious. Definitely adding these to our regular rotation!

My dogs really enjoy these treats! Being freeze dried and small, I feel comfortable giving them a couple of them at a time. The only con to these is that they have a very strong scent. It can tend to make their breath a little stinky and the scent can linger on your fingers. I won’t dock a star from the rating though because that’s just something that can’t be helped due to the nature of the product!

This product was well liked by my dogs and I used it during training and/or during high distraction times such as other dogs, meeting new people , etc. I did not like the smell however, it was very strong and I had to keep it out of my pockets. I sealed it up in a separate bag. Also, the pieces were very large and I use small pieces for rewards, they were very hard to break by hand so I had to cut with a knife. Overall, I would not order them for myself.

I’m a little confused by the product. I ordered wild boar liver, but I received Antelope liver. My dogs really enjoy anything freeze dried, so I jumped at the chance to pick them up some treats. They still seemed to like it, but again, they all love freeze dried treats. The packaging is nice, there is no smell, and my dogs lined up quickly. Still at a loss with the antelope, though.
