    Snappy Trainer Effectiveness

    By on

Our 45 lb. Lab has a habit of getting on counters. The sound of the Snappy Trainer alerts us that she's snooping where she shouldn't be. She's still getting on the counters but the number of incidents has decreased. I didn't give it 5 stars because it needs to snap a little harder to fully deter our Lab from this unwanted behavior.

    These are working

    By on

They simply elicit a "pop" noise that starles the dog and they do not harm the dog. However, over time I have seen that the smaller dogs learned how to walk around them to find a spot to lay on where there is not a Snappy Trainer. More effective with the bigger dogs. Very effective for dogs that have a habit of scratching at couch pillows and covering whichis what I needed

    Cat deterrents

    By on

I read the reviews before purchasing this product. I noticed it was about 50/50, positive and negative. Most of the negative reviews were in regard to puppy/dog training, to which I concur. They didn't phase my dog. But, they sure as heck worked great for my cats. They kept digging in one of my house plants, which I tried several different, improvised ways to deter them. Needless to say, (ha ha ha) those didn't work. These traps have a nice, loud snap which scared the crap out of them. (hysterical laughter) Ahhh.....my nights are so much more peaceful.

    Wonderful training device

    By on

This is a very good device for training dogs to leave things alone that they shouldn't be messing with. I use it for decreasing counter surfing. It's snaps and makes noise and it cannot hurt the dog. It's simple to use.

    Sent to Goodwill

If they went off, my cat was not deterred, just looked at it. Otherwise he walked around them and rarely to never set them off.

    Waste of Money

    By on

Seriously, Do not bother with these. They are hard to set and don’t go off when brushed against. What a waste of money!

    Worked like a charm!

    By on

I have a dog who thinks anything he can get belongs to him.. I hate him getting up on my counters to steal food. I set these up and with in minutes he set it off and didn’t hurt him at all but scared him enough to stay off my kitchen counters..

    Doesn't work

    By on

I placed 3 of these on my cabinet. None of them went off, and my kitten (6 pounds) sat on the red paddle and it never went off. It did go off on my hand, and stung, so it could injure your pet.

    Something that works!

    By on

These were recommended to me by a fellow German Shepard owner whose dog is also all over tabletops/counters. These use avoidance without danger. They're great. Thank you for making them available.

    Not effective

    By on

It worked only the first time but our counter surfer quickly figured out how to avoid them.
