ht-pet Snappy Trainer Pet Deterrent is a training device that can be used to correct unwanted behaviors. Simply set and place the paddle in the area of interest and when the pet touches or bumps the snappy trainer, the large paddle swiftly lifts into the air making a loud snapping sound. The quick sound and movement of the paddle will startle the pet and discourage repeat behavior. The snappy trainer is designed to only startle and not harm your pet. It’s safe for training puppies, cats as well as rabbits.

I think my 9-month-old kitten would rate it higher. He really likes the way it jumps. Mouse traps worked well with my 'what can I do to please you' lab-ausi mix dog, but not so well for my 'everything is prey' kitten.
These did work a little until my puppy set them off and they tumbled to the ground and became a chew toy for my puppy. Smart puppy!! I made the mistake of setting them up and walking away to take a shower. I have one left and I do not leave it set up when I am not around. Puppy has reduced counter surfing a little.
Snappy trainers are a life saver. They only had to trigger once and my Pup sees them on the counter and stays down. I would 100% recommend these to pet parents with counter surfers!
Our German Shepard started counter surfing again. Found the Snappy Trainers and she set them off a couple of times but then left them and any food near them alone. We’re still keeping them out for now but one day hope we can put them away once she understands that stealing off the table is a NO. If a grandchild touches them they don’t get hurt so yes we recommend them even though the package says for medium dogs and she’s big.
I brought two 4-month-old cats into the house and needed a way to remind them that feet are not allowed on tables and countertops when I wasn't around. After a few months I stopped finding the traps had been sprung. Now that they are adult cats I don't even have to put them out they just know they're not allowed on the table.
Fun and effective - my dog kept getting in the trash can, used this one time and she does not go near the can
We have a dog who drags anything she can get her teeth on our the doggy door & destroys it in the back yard. We tried this in an attempt to curb this behavior. We laughed & laughed the next day when we found ALL 4 of them outside...chewed to pieces! hahahaha YOUR dog might avoid this, but our Beagle was not impressed or scared.
One was already broken. Didn’t take long for another to follow.
We received a package of 3. 2 did not work the 3rd did work to keep our big girl out of the garbage once. We tried to reset the next night and that was broke as well.
My always-hungry-nosey pup definitely thinks twice before looking for treasure on the kitchen counter! This is very effective AND safe for kids (& adults) No pinched fingers like one might accidentally get with a traditional mouse trap.
