I raise and show Old English Game Bantams and have done it for many years. The ingredients of this feed were exactly what I was after with the porcupine meat and bone meal. I feed my adults Fancy and Feathered from Kalmbach feeds which contain the same. I hatch out every week, and unfortunately all of my chicks were dying around Day 4-6. I scrambled for 5 weeks trying to figure out what was wrong. Water, heat, brooder, substrate, lighting, everything I could think of. I drove to my local feed store and grabbed a bag of Purina chick starter that I’ve used all my years previously. Not one dead chick the following week or the next. On the third week, I pulled out 3 chicks and gave them the Hudson feed chick starter and all 3 were dead by Day 5. I’m sure these guys are a smaller company and I do feel bad for leaving this review, BUT I would not recommend this product to anyone. Even my competition.

Delivery way to long
The product is great, however, It took extremely long to get delivered. I will not purchase feed for my chicks again from Chewy.

Fine, small bites
This food is a perfect size for new hatchlings and baby chicks. It’s small little pieces are very easy for them to pick up and eat.

They need to redesign their bag.
There is nothing on this bag that says its medicated or chicken starter. There was a blue tag sewn on at one time that had been ripped off either at the warehouse
There is nothing on this bag that says its medicated or chicken starter. There was a blue tag sewn on at one time that had been ripped off either at the warehouse or in transit. So all I'm seeing is poultry feed. I can't assume it's chick starter and kill my chicks, and I can't feed it to my older laying hens, in case it's medicated. Clearly they need different packaging. or have it printed right on the bag.
