How do you measure chest size?

Answer by ChewyOct 11, 2023
In order to achieve the perfect fit, it is recommended that you measure the widest part of the dog's chest, weigh them, and then compare these measurements to those listed in the size chart supplied on the product page or the chart provided below.

How do I know what size I need? No size chart showing measurements.

Answer by ChewyJul 13, 2023
To measure your pet's neck leaving room for two fingers. To measure the body measure the base of the neck to the base of the tail. To measure the chest Measure your dog's chest around the widest part. If your pet falls somewhere between two sizes, we advise ordering the larger of the two. Please see the size tab on the product page for more information or the attached photo.

Can the straps be tightened?

Answer by ChewyApr 10, 2024
This harness is designed to allow for plenty of adjustments to be made, most of these adjustments are made naturally as the dog walks and puts tension on the leash that it is walked on. The adjustment is both around the lower and upper chest of the harness, through the sliding adjustment mounted upon the back near the buckle.

Quality made - uncomfortable?

My dogs do not care for this - so I use it only for when they are in the car as it works great for car seatbelt safety

Easy On and Off

This harness is so easy to put on my dog, Levi. He just steps in and, click, he's ready to go for a walk. It's also washable.

This is a great harness for a family with multiple dogs.

This is a great harness for a family with two, similar size foxhounds. Getting the dogs ready for a walk used to be somewhat chaotic. This harness is a gamechanger

This is a great harness for a family with two, similar size foxhounds. Getting the dogs ready for a walk used to be somewhat chaotic. This harness is a gamechanger because it's so easy to use. It clips on easily, fits both dogs, and it doesn't matter which direction the harness is facing, front or back. I can see why the items are now on backorder.

Straps too wide

I got the smallest size for my 9lb chihuahua corgi mix. While it fit around his chest fine, the straps were so wide and thick they hinder his ability to walk comfortably

I got the smallest size for my 9lb chihuahua corgi mix. While it fit around his chest fine, the straps were so wide and thick they hinder his ability to walk comfortably. I was looking for something that clicked on quick and easy as he is a blind, reactive, rescue with a very short fuse. This does go on easy enough, I just wish the people designing it understood how these straps cannot possibly fit a tiny dog. Also, on a side note, I bought the matching x-small leash, and fee like it is ridiculously large and has a huge, cumbersome clip that upsets my dog. I think this company might need to meet a couple of small dogs before designing products for them

Wanted to love it but it’s too bulky for my pup even though we got the small. It’s also confusing to put on but if you look at the logos they should be facing upright

I have an Australian Shepherd-Pitbull mix that keeps me on my toes. She is the only one of the 3 dogs I have that is fence-challenged - she sees a fence, she's gonna jump it. The last thing I wanted to do in my senior years was to be out in the dead of night, flashlight in hand, searching the pastures for my beloved dog, hoping she won't take off for the interstate. I had to resort to keeping her tied when we went out to potty & that broke my heart. I've gone through many, many harnesses in my efforts to control her jumping, only to end up running for my flashlight & begin another "search." That is, until now. The Hugo & Hudson harness is strong enough to withstand her efforts to break free & drag me along, hanging on for (her) dear life, only to end up losing her anyway. I don't know why I picked this particular harness, but I am so thankful & rested to have discovered it.
