The smell

My poor dog, who eats basically everything, turned his nose to these immediately. I even crumbled one in his dinner to get him used to them and the whole meal needed

Having German Shepherds for 48 yrs, 24/7, i feel qualified to report what happened with my dog while chewing on one of these skins. Standing right beside my dog, she started chewing on this item. She could not tear this in any way, just 1 long 1.5 inch x 7+ in piece. watching her , she tried to swallow this, and immediately i recognized this was stuck in her throat. The small end showing in her mouth is what I grabbed and pulled the whole piece out. it was like shoe leather. Had i not known what was happening, this would have caused a bowel obstruction, possibly death. Please DO NOT BUY this item. you have been warned.
