The sizing was really easy, At first, when I took it out out of the box I thought it was gonna be too big, but was absolutely a perfect fit..!! Great pic if you’re worried about things not fitting & don’t wanna go through the hassle of that or returns. Just measure your dog and it’s pretty on point..!! Great coat for short haired dogs living here in New Hampshire when it’s snowing & windy, Doesn’t get wet, It doesn’t hold snow, Most of all, no dog hair sticks to it at all..!! I have no choice, but to buy my dog a lot of clothes because of her short hair & because we lived outside homeless for a long time, So if I’m saying a product is good that means it has to be..!!

I have an older version of this coat, and it is outstanding. The sizing runs big and even though I measured properly and ordered the recommended size, the coat is big on the dog for which I was ordering it. I used it for a year and then decided to keep it for my larger dog, who is growing older and may soon feel cold more. I ordered this Extreme Warmer III ECO one size smaller. It arrived today and is perfect for my dog. It’s even got some great updates. I like that it snaps under her tail, although I’m not sure whether she’ll be able to pee without interference. That first glance, I’m not crazy about the new hook attachment for the belly band, but I’m sure I’ll get used to it. Hurtta coats are the best, hands-down. They keep my dogs warm, and they stay on and have great adjustment points. They’re worth the expense.
Very frustrating
This product looked extremely promising and well made, and I was looking forward to putting it on my 7.6 lb rescue Chihuahua to help keep her warm in the winter
This product looked extremely promising and well made, and I was looking forward to putting it on my 7.6 lb rescue Chihuahua to help keep her warm in the winter weather. However, I found the metallic buckle nearly impossible to extract from its rigid loop, and I was completely unable to close it. I note that someone else, a reviewer who has issues with arthritis, underscored this flaw; I empathize with them and concur; I do not have any mobility issues with my hands and found the buckle an utter struggle. A major problem, as the very poor design of the buckle meant that the entire item was useless to me since I could not secure it on my dog, and had to return. If only it were a snap closure, all would have been fine.

It’s so warm! And our dog is short but long, so it’s tough to find things that work for him. When you snap it under their tail, it seems like it fits perfectly BUT

I had purchased a coat from nonstop dog wear in the same size and it was way too tight around the neck so I gave this one a try and it was much better. She used to get so cold her teeth would chatter but now she stays toasty
Designed to be Toasty
This jacket really covers everything possible to cover--belly, haunches, chest, neck, booty. The built in snood is a great idea although my dog won't tolerate it

The foil lining makes it lighter weight yet still really warm. Not sure what the elastics on the back legs are for, they ride up too far on her privates. The one design element I would change is that the hook that holds it all together is plastic. If that breaks, the garment is useless. Would prefer a click in clip like a harness. Worth the investment for a short haired dog in a midwest climate!

Didn't like hook
Right out of the box we could see that the sides fasten with a hook instead of a traditional clip. In the video it looks fine, but in reality it was really stiff
