IF this company could come up with a different type of ribbons, made with cat safe material it would be a fantastic toy! My 2 cats loved it, until they didn't. Just started playing and the flimsy ribbons were hanging out of their mouths! Fortunately I was able to get the torn ribbon out of one of their mouths. Alfred, my other kitty quickly swallowed the ribbon he had torn off and thank God, he vomited and it looked as if all.the pieces were up and out. I watched him like a hawk for the next 5 days to make certain none of that ribbon caused an intestinal blockage, twist or tear! Buyer beware, these are not safe cat toys and they should have been much better quality for the price!!! In the trash they went, pronto!!!..

seriously...don't buy this. Please don't made the mistake I did. I would give zero stars if I could. you'd think I would know better...but my desire to get my 10 year old cat a toy she might actually play with caused me to throw common sense out the window...just like the way she tossed the shiny red and gold pieces back out her mouth and on my bed. I am thankful she threw it up immediately instead of getting it stuck internally. As I was attaching the toy to an old wand, she was excitedly nuzzling the toy and chewing on the shiny ribbon parts...and I thought I had better really keep an eye on her while we play in case she actually chews off any pieces. Not two seconds later as I'm ready with the wand together and toy attached...my cat is sitting there away from the toy and chomping her mouth and I look closely and asked her if she ate a piece off and I pick the toy up to see and she does a double gag and bloop! Out on the bed is a shiny red and shiny gold piece of the "tail" of the toy! and she quickly left the room. I guess that was her review. After cleaning the tiny party mess...I immediately took all three toys and cut off all the ribbon. I should just return them or trash them but I thought she might still chase after the plush part. But as I'm writing this...I'm thinking what if it's possible for her to get the last shiny bits off the toy even though I trimmed it as close as possible. So I think I'll just trash them. I had high hopes as we've never had a toy with this type of ribbon and she's picky about what type of toy she'll play with alone or with me. No photo evidence because i was trying to quickly clean the vomit before it soaked through the sheet.

Unsafe

Unfortunately, I don’t feel safe letting my cat chew on these because the foil ribbons fall apart too easily.
