Didn't hear my tank as I thought it would

By Sarah on Dec 28, 2018

I have a 1.5 -2 gallon tank with a beta fish and for how this heater is rated for bigger tanks it barely brought my tank up to a Luke warm temperature and if this can be used on bigger tanks I don't see how it can heat the water appropriately wen it barely warms my little tank I'm kind of sorry I bought this product but nothing I can do now

Hydor Micro & Mini Aquarium Slim Heater

By Macey on Dec 21, 2018

I'm not sure if there was something wrong with the one I received but it doesn't work at all. I've had it plugged in for over 12 hours and the water hasn't gotten any warmer.

    Good for the price

By Cassy on Jun 11, 2018

This heats my 3 gallon tank very well. The only thing I don’t like is that there’s no stopping point for the heat level. When I first put it in and came home from work, my fish tank was at 85 degrees and I normally keep it around 78. The fish were fine but it frightened me a bit to realize it could potentially have been bad.

don't waste your money will work for a month then stop working.

By shady on Jan 23, 2018

I got this for my betta and his 2 mystery snails tank mates. At first it worked pretty good (not great), after a week I noticed it was struggling to keep the water at 75 (betta and snail like 75-80). Now I stated notacing that my betta wasn't wanting to eat and he was sluggish. Looked at the temp of the water it was 70 felt the water yep cold then felt the heater just Luke warm. Yeah now I have to get a new heater before all 3 die. Please if you love your fish like I do don't get this pay a little bit more for a heater that will take care of them.

    Doesn't do what it claims

By DebiGag on Feb 27, 2018

This heater claims that it will keep your tank water at about 6-7 degrees warmer than the room temperature. NOT. My house stays around 68 degrees and the tank stays around 70-71. Waste of money. Need to go buy a "regular" adjustable heater.

    Works great on a timer

By newbe on Jan 19, 2018

I purchased this heater for my new 3 gallon betta tank. I buried it under the gravel in the bottom of the tank so it would not be seen, only the cord running off of it. Since it runs constantly I have plugged it into a timer for it to run about 6 times a day for about an hour each time. Our home is heated with wood so we do not have a consistent temp day and night. This setup seems to work great and he is happy and warm.

    By Fishtank18 on Mar 19, 2018

Seems to be working so far, I've had it plugged in for a few days now, temperature fluctuates between 80-81 degrees in 8 gallon tank with no other heat source.
