A Simple 10-Second Massage Of The Re-Freezable/ Reusable Bag Results In A Loose, Flexible, Cold Source That Configures To The Horse's Leg Immediately.
• Cross-Tie The Horse In A Stall Or Wash Rack. Wet Down The Horse's Leg Or Legs With A Sponge.
• After Massaging The FIRST+ICE Pack To Loosen The Beads Of Ice Cold Relief, Insert The Packs Into Your Ice Horse Boot And Apply The Boots, Securing The Straps. When Finished, Wipe Down The FIRST+ICE Packages And Return Them To The Freezer. Store The Boot In A Dry Location.

Works great but not as effective as cold hosing.
I tried these wraps on my ottb mare that has stifle issues.. i worked her pretty hard on the lunge line getting her stifles nice and warm then put the wraps on..
I tried these wraps on my ottb mare that has stifle issues.. i worked her pretty hard on the lunge line getting her stifles nice and warm then put the wraps on... its a bit difficult to do by yourself and you definitely need to desensitize your horse to them beforehand. I put them on for roughly 15 minutes and her stifles went from hot to cool and the ice packs were still very cold. I dont think its as effective as cold hosing but if you didnt have time to stand there and cold hose or deal with lots of water I believe these would work great to help cool the joint. They were also a bit tight for her.

I have used other Ice Horse products in the past and have been happy with them. I was excited to try the stifle wraps. Stifle wraps came with four ice packs which was nice. There are built in flaps in the stifle area to adhere the ice packs to. I placed the ice packs on the backside of the flaps so the ice packs had a cover on top of them versus being directly on the skin. Ice packs seem to last 20 minutes before they get warm. I’m sure summer temperatures would change this timing. I tried this product on a 17. 2 horse and 16.1 horse and it seemed to fit well. If your horse is a bit antsy, you might have to readjust the straps as they can slide a bit. I wish there was a silicone line in the stifle area to help prevent slippage. Horses seem to enjoy this and were very relaxed after wearing the wraps. They moved much better the next day. Our horses show in both the Equitation and Hunter arenas, so keeping them at their best is extremely important to us. This wrap has been added to our care routine and our horses seem to like this!
Good size for a hafliger
These fit well on my friend's haflinger, but if the horse was any bigger they would have been too small. They were a bit difficult to get on, two people were needed

Once the first side was on someone had to hold it while the second side was being attached or it would slide down. However, her horse seemed to really like them, she was licking and chewing while they were on!
Stifle Relief
Two of my horses have stifle issues. They receive injections but when it comes close to being due they are pretty sore as we wait for the vet to make the barn call
