Instructions
The Product: Store The First+Ice Packages In Your Home Or Stable Refrigerator Freezer Chamber. Remove Just Before You Plan To Use. Store In An Insulated Cooler If You Are Unable To Use Them Immediately. The Horse: Cross Tie The Horse In A Stall Or Wash Rack. Wet Down The Horse’s Leg(S) With A Sponge. The Wrap: Use 2 First+Ice Packs For Each Leg Wrap. Massage The First+Ice Pack To Loosen The Beads Of Ice-Cold Relief. Insert 2 First+Ice Packs In Each Wrap After The Packs Have Been Massaged. Apply The Wraps To The Treatment Area Of The Leg And Secure With The Straps. Three Straps On Each Wrap Provide For A Well-Configured Fit And Effective Relief When The Product Is Secured To The Horse’s Legs. After Use, The Packs Can Be Wiped Down With A Damp Cloth And Returned To The Freezer Until The Next Use. Store The Wrap Separately In A Dry Place.
For Hot Compress Use: Boiling: Provides The Best Heating Effectiveness. Bring Pan Of Water To Boil. Remove From Heat. Place Inserts In Pan For 8 To 10 Minutes. Remove Inserts From Pan. Wrap Inserts In A Light Towel. Place In The Ice Horse Wrap And Apply To The Injured Area.
Microwave: Place Insert In Microwavable Container And Cover Completely With Water. Never Heat Without Covering Insert With Water. Place Container In Microwave. Heat At Full Power For Three Minutes. Time Based On 600 Watt Microwave Oven. After Heating, Remove Insert From Water. Wrap Insert In Towel Or Leg Or Hock Wrap, Then Place On Injured Area. If Additional Heat Is Required, Heat In 30 Second Intervals

It’s Hunter Pace season, and I’ve been looking for new ways to support my 12-year-old paint mare, Tallulah, after long, demanding rides. We usually stick to poultice for post-ride care, but I wanted to alternate with something cleaner and quicker. The Ice Horse Tendon Leg Wraps have been a great addition to our recovery routine. Tallulah and I ride through varied terrain with plenty of galloping and some jumping, so her legs definitely feel the work. These wraps are thoughtfully designed. They come with four cold packs that freeze quickly, stay cold for a long time, and contour well around the fetlock and tendon areas. The wraps themselves are sturdy but flexible, and the hook-and-loop closures are strong enough to hold everything securely in place. I’ve used them in the barn after cleaning off her legs, and I’m really impressed with how snug and stable they feel. I plan to try trailering her home in them after a pace to maximize her recovery time. They seem secure enough to stay put during the ride, which would be incredibly helpful when we are on a tight post-ride schedule. The directions are clear, cleanup is easy, and the packs refreeze without mess. I also like that the wraps provide full and even coverage without adding bulky pressure points. If you are looking to alternate from poultice or add a simple, effective option to your recovery routine, these wraps are definitely worth it. I plan to keep using them all season.
