Feeding Instructions
Feed approximately 5 pouches into 2 or 3 meals per day per 7lbs (3kg) of body weight. Feeding amounts may vary based on age, activity level and other factors. Provide clean, fresh water daily. For your pet's health, see your veterinarian regularly. Refrigerate after opening and serve within the next day.
Gradually transition over 7–10 days by mixing increasing amounts of the new wet food with decreasing amounts of the current food. Start with mostly old food and a small amount of new, increasing the wet food daily until it fully replaces the old. Monitor for digestive issues and adjust as needed.

I confess, I don’t love pouch meals. I find them messy – you cut open the packet, squeeze out some of the food (since a whole packet would be too much food), and then you must either scrape it out into a storage container or roll up the top and clip it closed. I like a can that I can close with a snap-on lid and recycle when finished. However, many people must like packets, or they wouldn’t be sold. Inaba’s Chicken Dinner comes in a box with three cartons in it. Note that the outside container box says “5 pouches,” but it would be more accurate to say ’15 pouches.’ In each carton are five pouches: three are chicken with salmon and two are chicken with beef. Each packet has a use by date on it. Information on the boxes is about 2-point font size and hard to read. The first ingredient in both flavors is chicken broth, then chicken. Then comes either the beef or salmon. All good ingredients, but after that it’s more complicated: tapioca starch, agar-agar, guar gum, and yeast extract. Tapioca is a thickener/binder with no nutrients; agar-agar (seaweed derivative) adds texture – no nutrients; guar gum is a thickener; yeast extract is a good one as it is a flavor enhancer and a source of B vitamins. Because these ingredients are after the main protein, they should be in small enough amounts to be fine as used. The food is a product of Thailand but does meet AAFCO standards. The package says there are no artificial preservatives and Vitamin E is added, which is fine. The smell is like real chicken, and it looks like good quality. My sheltie ate it up, but I admit he is not that discerning a judge! I do like adding some wet food to his diet and his kibble as we want to get some water into his meals. For me these are a ‘no’ because of the packet inconvenience, but if you are a fan of pouches, I think you will be happy with these. As always, though, check with your vet before changing foods.

My picky dog absolutely loved this food! The moment I opened the pouch, he was so excited. I was also pleasantly surprised by the generous portion size, which feels like a great value. The combination of chicken, salmon, and beef was a huge hit; my dog devoured it, which is very rare for him. Each pouch has a substantial amount of food, making for a satisfying meal. The texture is perfect for mixing with dry kibble, adding extra moisture and flavor to his regular food. The only thing I would change is the packaging. It would be even better if the pouches were resealable for easy storage.

Absolutely! Here’s a cheerful and engaging review for the pouch dog food named Chicken Dinner: --- 🐾 Winner Winner Chicken Dinner! 🐾 I’ve finally found the pawfect meal for my pup — and it’s called Chicken Dinner! From the moment I opened the pouch (which, by the way, is super easy to tear open — no scissors, no mess!), I knew we had a winner. The aroma had my dog doing happy circles before the food even hit the bowl. 🍗 Why we love it: • Easy to open & dispense: The pouch design is a game-changer. No struggling, no sticky fingers — just open, pour, and done! • Tasty & satisfying: My dog devours it like it’s a gourmet feast. Real chicken flavor that clearly hits the spot. • Perfect portioning: One pouch = one happy, full belly. No waste, no guesswork. Mealtime has become the highlight of my dog’s day, and honestly, mine too — because it’s quick, clean, and always gets tail wags of approval. If you’re looking for a convenient, delicious option that your dog will love, Chicken Dinner is a total win. Winner winner — you know the rest! 🐶🍽️

Inadequate for medium to large breeds
Considering the feeding recommendations on the package, this food is not made for any breed of dog larger than teacup. I offered it to four different sizes and breeds
Considering the feeding recommendations on the package, this food is not made for any breed of dog larger than teacup. I offered it to four different sizes and breeds. While they seemed to like the taste, it did cause some soft stools. It did not appear appetizing out of the package. I would not buy this for my pets.
Tasty treats my dog loves these. I got the beef

At first I wasn’t sure how my dog would react to a different brand of dog food/treat but I’m here to tell you he devoured it. I will certainly be purchasing this again for my dog. The cat even took a lick and liked it.
