Fairly easy set up

My cat is one of those cats who will eat too much too fast then puke. Unfortunately that hasn't completely stopped yet, but it has decreased significantly. I think I need to just figure out the best schedule. I've been able to work out that the smallest portion seems to be roughly 1/12 th of a cup, and from what little I have seen, seems to be fairly consistent. My cat took to it right away. I've only had it for a few days, but I am happy with what I have seen so far.

Stopped dispensing properly

As a result, food gets stale and is wasted. I tried all of the online “fixes”, to no avail. It’s a shame, because I like the feeder but I think I’ll try another brand.

Would Not Recommend; dispenser stopped working 6 months after purchase

I purchased this because I live alone and am a bit of a hermit, so I have the anxierty/fear that if one day I get into a car accident and can't get home, or I happen

I purchased this because I live alone and am a bit of a hermit, so I have the anxierty/fear that if one day I get into a car accident and can't get home, or I happen to have a heart attack and pass away in my home (and someone doesn't find me for weeks) that my dog would suffer and slowly starve to death (morbid I know). I bought this because of the automated system that would feed him every day at the same time, and that way if something did happen to me, at least he'd have food for a few weeks. Unfortunately the thing stopped working this month, and no matter how much I charge it, the dispenser no longer dispenses food. So I just use it as a food holder and am doing some research to see what other options exist.

My cat loves it; Instachew's customer service was very disappointing!

My cat loves this product (possibly a bit too much). Unfortunately, it did not come with a wall port (which is neither here nor there) nor a battery door compartment

My cat loves this product (possibly a bit too much). Unfortunately, it did not come with a wall port (which is neither here nor there) nor a battery door compartment. Chewy has always had the best customer service. They were great, and since it was out of stock, recommended I keep it and just contact the company for the missing parts. The company blamed me for the missing parts and did not have any extra components or a replacement feeder. I was very disappointed in Instachew's customer service; that is really the only complaint I have about this product. With that being said, Chewy has always had impeccable customer service and has been helpful throughout this process.

This has been great for teaching my cat that waking me up at 5am will not get him fed! My only complaint is that sometimes it doesn’t work. Typically I get a notification when this happens and if I’m not home I do a feeding from my phone. Sometimes I worry though that that feeding will also not have worked. My cat is quite chunky though so I assume it’s doing just fine!

I recently purchased the 2.5L automatic pet feeder, and unfortunately, it hasn't met my expectations. First, the capacity is quite limited for my pet's needs; I find myself refilling it more often than anticipated. Additionally, the feeding mechanism tends to jam, causing missed meals, which is frustrating. The programming features are also not intuitive, making it difficult to set up and adjust feeding times. Lastly, the overall build quality feels cheap, raising concerns about its longevity. I had high hopes for this product, but it has proven to be more trouble than it's worth. I would not recommend it.
