This feeder features an option to use three Type D batteries, however, it is highly recommended to keep the device plugged in and use the batteries only as a backup.

My cat doesn't really like it. App set up was difficult as did not explain how it worked or how to set it up, also it took us a while to figure out how to open the feeder which was also quite difficult to open physically due to its shape and smoothness.

Being able to feed wet food on a schedule day and night is a big plus.

I love it, but unfortunately my kitty did not. We may give a try again later. For now, it’s more stress than my new shelter kitty needs.

We totally love this feeder! It's super cool and modern. We used to have this other feeder that was like skyscraper tall and could store a mountain of food. But I always doubted how fresh the food stayed in there with so much piled up. This feeder, though, is just the right size. It's got these handy compartments that keep us from accidentally overfeeding our cat. And you know what? Our furry friend liked it right away, no fuss at all. Setting it up, taking it apart, and giving it a good clean is a piece of cake. Honestly, we're pleased we stumbled upon this feeder. It has the looks and features we prefer over any other brand or style.

The chewy listing insinuates that you will receive ice packs with the feeder and you will not. They have to be ordered separately. I reached out to the company directly and they confirmed for me that the plastic bowl insert is dishwasher safe. Chewy listing says "wipe clean". The food is photoshopped into the product photos so it makes it look like the feeding surface is flat and even with the white edge of the feeder. This is not accurate they are deep set oval bowls. My very large cat can eat out of it but it's not comfortable for him for daily feeding and probably creates whisker fatigue. I only use this feeder if I'm taking a weekend trip away or working late. The app is a really nice feature for some long distance control over the animal's feeding schedule and you can record your voice into the timer so your pet knows when the food is available which I love. There's no way to tell if the animal has eaten the food though before it moves onto the next scheduled meal. My cat has skipped meals in the day because of this. If the tech could update to notify if the food has been eaten or not that would be helpful information. The feeder is very challenging to open and close which is annoying for humans setting it up but nice to know it's secure against clever or determined pets who may try to beat the system. Initial set up and pairing with the app was easy and I love the versatility of either plugging it in or using batteries. It's the best wet food feeder for multiple meals that I've tired and I've tried many but it's a new product on the market as of Oct2023 and could use some tweaks and upgrades to be better. I can't imagine using this for a dog though. It would have to be a very small dog who doesn't slobber or make a mess eating. I can imagine this thing getting gross and unhygienic very quickly if I were using this for my frenchie.

It's just like they said. I'd totally suggest it. Plus, I wanted one I could plug into the wall, and this one comes with the cord for that. My cat needs tiny meals

Very difficult to set up and operate. Comes with little to no instructions on how to set up. Taking off the cover is a nightmare. Regret this purchase big time.
