The 3-panel gate is usable up to 54 inches wide and measures 30 inches high. The 4-panel gate is usable up to 74 inches wide and measures 30 inches high.

what is the difference in size between the 3 panel and the 4 panel when extended

Large or energetic dogs may push this gate over.

I am looking at this for a 3 month old kitten. How big is that gap at the bottom? On the sides? If the bars are 1.6" apart, it looks like 2" on the sides and maybe 3" on the bottom?

The space between the slats is 1.5 inches and along the bottom, there is 2.5 inches between the base board and the bottom of the slats.
