will this be a good hight for my dog (Freya)

To determine the correct height for a dog food bowl by measuring your standing dog from the floor beneath the front paws up to the top of the shoulders and then subtract approximately 6 inches. Dogs should be able to eat without lowering their necks or stretching them upwards. The top of a dog food bowl at the correct height should sit level with the dog’s lower chest.

So when you say 16 cups, you mean 8 cups per bowl correct?

The 16-cup hold 8 cups per bowl. The 8- cup hold 4 cups per bowl.

I Bowl way too small

As soon as I can & see my way clear money wise to buy another taller one I will reorder . My dog has a swallowing problem so dis has to be higher. It said

It said for height .. but it is really very short for mt dog who is a doodle .. and the bowls said 4 cups. So when I saw them they were very small. I didn’t realize they meant total.. my doodles face is so big he could barely get his snout in it . As soon as 8 can see my way clear money wise I will try to find one higher & bigger bowls and reorder

Very pretty

Only 4 stars because I thought 8 cup bowls would be big enough for my German Shepherd, it will do. It's very pretty and well made. Came with exact amount of screws

Only 4 stars because I thought 8 cup bowls would be big enough for my German Shepherd, it will do. It's very pretty and well made. Came with exact amount of screws and lockdown "nuts", very easy to put together, just need a philips screw driver. The color goes well with the rest of my kitchen.

Easy to put together

its a good size for my dog... I have read reviews that said they fall apart quickly, but fortunately my dog is not a slobber/messy eater ... so we will see how that

I also like the smaller/deeper bowls I think its easier for him to drink and get at his food.... he is 65 lbs if that helps and a cur/pitbull mix if you are looking for comparison....
