The app includes helpful guides and even training videos, which made the whole process a lot less stressful. I like that it comes with a tester for the collar and two different contact points so you can choose what works best for your dog. With the subscription you unlock features like unlimited fences, tracking, and alerts, which is super helpful for peace of mind. Overall, a well-designed and user-friendly system!

This collar is FANCY! We have used another GPS locator collar in the past because we have an escape artist that will disappear at times. We also use an in ground invisible fence, but we are moving and needed another options. This is perfect because it combines to two in one collar. My only gripe is that the collar is really big and long, so it would be really difficult on a tiny dog. I have it on my Corgi and I had to pull it almost all the way through.

Overall, I like the system and it seems to work better than a similarly priced competitors that I had tried in the past. Pretty straight forward to setup - both in ease of steps and very quick to pair. I do feel like some of the pieces could be made a bit more sturdy. But maybe my dogs just play rough. Overall, the battery lasts a long time and it is easy to charge. I like that I can setup fences wherever I need. It did take a week or two before I had my dog trained on how it works. Now that he understands I don’t have to worry about him escaping.

The app was user friendly, it walked us through everything, but setup took a long time- we figured this would be worth it for the result. The quality of the collar and weight of the device are both perfect for its function. I like that the collar is water resistant and the battery lasts about a week on a charge! GPS location seemed to be reliable. Onto the less exciting part: what we don’t like, and why we won’t be using this in the future. The device signals my dog going outside the boundary about every other time - and yes, he would walk outside of the boundary. I expected, at the price point, it would be adjustable - but no. To adjust the strength, there’s an additional subscription. I could see a subscription existing for additional features or services, but not something as simple as adjusting the collar correction. Sure, it’s got a free trial, but at the end of the day, we want a one time cost for something like this. We could add an additional barrier to keep him in our yard, like a tie out, but that kind of defeats the purpose. Unfortunately, this won’t work for us long term. TLDR; battery life, look and feel, and GPS are good, but we wish the baseline features were more customizable without a subscription and that alerts were consistent.

The battery life seems to be better than competitors, lasting about 2 days compared to 1 for most others. I really don't like the straps of this collar. They feel flimsy and it's tough to get the right size off the dog. I like the tracker itself and that they include longer contact points. App is OK but could use some improvement. I don't see "escape history" that's common on other GPS apps, and it would be nice to have that history to see where guardian dogs are going. There was also some lag in creating the fences, so I wasn't sure if they were being created. I have poor cell service where I live, so I won't comment on the live tracking. I do like that it came with a free year long subscription! All around solid system!

Our property is already fenced but it worked great for keeping him out of certain areas of the property where he might get into mischief. I also really liked how the charger connected via magnet instead of having a charge port where water could potentially get in.
Works great, but you’ll pay for it
I got this GPS collar about a month ago and I finally can review it. 1. I thought it was difficult to get set up. I am not a tech geek so it was quite frustrating
I got this GPS collar about a month ago and I finally can review it. 1. I thought it was difficult to get set up. I am not a tech geek so it was quite frustrating. 2. I have been using a shock collar for about a year so get my dog to switch from that to the GPS was extremely difficult. He has been trained where to go with the shock collar that I couldn’t change his original boundary are. That really took some time. 3. For the price of the system I am shocked that after a year it will cost $99 a year. Leaving you no choice but to subscribe because otherwise your initial $600 was a waste of money. So that was the cons and now for the pros. It works great. Once you can figure out how to set it up, it is pretty easy to use. I really like the different possibilities of the boundaries. Not just four sided. We have a short hair dog so the shorter prongs work great for us but it does come with longer ones for long hair dogs. The collar is very easy to adjust to his size neck. 100# dog. The battery life seems to last quite awhile before you need to recharge. Recharging is really simple. I charge it about once a week. I like the different color lights that it has so you know if you have any issues with the collar. I haven’t had any problems with the GPS product but I don’t think I would recommend it because of the forever yearly subscription.

This is our first Invisible fence product so we need to work with our pup to train him on boundary limits with the system. Set up was fairly easy with support a phone call away.
Not Ideal for Travel
The Invisible Fence GPS Flex worked great the first time with the initial map setup. However, you still have to pay for a subscription, which is disappointing considering

The real issue came when we traveled—trying to make a new map was a nightmare. No matter what we did, it just wouldn’t work. Great idea, but not reliable when you need flexibility.

I’ve been doing a ton of research on GPS fenced collars. This was brand was top of list with their history of wired fence collars. The setup process did require downloading an application and creating an account. To be able to unlock all features, you do need to subscribe which is an annual cost, although the first year is free with purchase which is a plus! Creating the fence layout on the app is very easy and you can adjust the corrective actions for that collar. The collar also has a night light you can turn on which is nice for the nighttime. To switch to different fences you have to have the collar in your hand to be able to reconnect. The GPS is very accurate and quickly adjusts to the new location. You can add a photo for your pet to the actual collar so in the map view you can see where your pet is located. It does seem you can have multiple pets and each pet collar is assigned to specific fences which would be beneficial if you have multiple pets. Although my yard is fenced in, I use this to mark off areas my dog shouldn’t be going, whether it is to keep him away from the farm animals as they move pastures or when the yard is too wet for him to venture. Also great to take on the go! When we are out at camp with no WiFi or fences or on vacation in an unfamiliar yard. With the proper training of the collar sounds, fencing your dog off in unfamiliar areas will be a breeze! The collar is adjustable in size and not terribly heavy with the GPS capabilities. Battery life is good and you are made aware of software updates when you are plugged in and looking at the app. Two things that would be great adds to the product. 1. Ability to have your phone be the fence, meaning your dog’s collar will have a radius around the phone and it will consistently update. Would be great for hiking off leash. 2. Ability to correct from the app without the dog going outside the phone. So create a controller on the app. Would allow to correct for bad behavior/urgent situations where dog isn’t listening.
