$20 to hold 30 lbs of small bite dog food we felt was an excellent price. Now with the cold weather, and field mice looking for a warm spot with easy to access food, this container stops them from contaminating 30 lbs of food. Doesn't hurt we also have an excellent battery operated mousetrap that holds peanut butter and catches them before they can tear into things like a dog food bag. Having the container is definitely the way to go for your pet's food.

I read the reviews that the lid is hard to put on, but I ignored them because this is my second IRIS storage container. (The seal on the first finally gave all the way out after several years). Welp. I tried for an hour. Mine was warped. I had to contact the company at the suggestion of Chewy since I just wanted a new lid. They sent a new one. The new one wasn't warped, but it was a beast to get on. I ended up bracing it against the cabinets and using pliers. It works. The lid falls down on you, which they said is "normal." So, you have to hold the lid up to scoop the food out, you can't lean it back. Also, the wheels don't lock in, so if you pick it up for any reason (like to help it go over a rug), the wheels will fall out. The liner is also uneven and doesn't seal completely on my old warped lid or my new lid. The quality has gone way down. But, it seals well enough. It rolls. It holds the food. The scoop is good quality, haha. OH, It has a terrible smell when you get it and it WILL transfer to your dog's food. If you have a picky eater, they will care. I put some baking soda in bowls in it with the lid shut for a few days before I used it. That did the trick. For the price, it's fine. :) Just know you might be on the struggle bus with this one.

As for the size it say holds 30lb bag of food. It doesn't , I bought a 30lb bag of cat food for the strays and it didn't fit not even close.
Love it but...
My issue with this product is the latch doesn't latch properly. Well it starts out perfect but within no time, the latch was easy to flip open. 1 of my pups figured
My issue with this product is the latch doesn't latch properly. Well it starts out perfect but within no time, the latch was easy to flip open. 1 of my pups figured that out. I'm sure she would eventually figure out how to open the container. I called customer service and explained the issue. Customer service was fantastic. I received a new container. Sadly, the same issue so this is a manufacturer defect. I will have to watch my pup to see if she figures it out.
Perfect for our needs!
We bought 2 of these, one for our dog food, and one for our cat food. They worked so well that we bought another one for my Mom for her dog food. They are perfect

I love that Cupcakes is in an air tight. I'm mean would you like to eat food from an open bag of food that may get rodents and stail in 30 day in an open bag because you didn't buy a container that would keep rodents and bugs and help keep all this. And air wouldn't get to it making the kibble from getting stale. I clean water Cupcakes water bowl before I fill it up again. I'm mean please if you wouldn't drink why are you making your babies drink from a film and floaties in it and if any floaties get stuck and the side from tempting the stale water in there. My cousin always says if I die I want to come back as one of your pets. You treat them better than I treat myself. I go yes they get taken care of better than I do for myself. I wash the food bowl in the dishwasher and I empty wash out her water bowls. I have 3 water bowls in the house and 1 for outside. She hasn't used that one but its there if she needs it. That one only get 2 rinse outs and fill back up. She's 2 years old but the way she still is like a 4 month old puppy.
Convenient way to store dry food
The wheels and locking lid are great. When puppy gets to larger/heavier food, it’ll be helpful to roll it for storage as needed. Just wish the lid would stay open

Aside from it arriving cracked due to poor packaging, the the plastic molding and sturdiness of this storage container leaves a LOT to be desired. The top attachment
Aside from it arriving cracked due to poor packaging, the the plastic molding and sturdiness of this storage container leaves a LOT to be desired. The top attachment doesn't sit well for a container that is listed as "airtight." I expected it would be flimsy plastic, but not this flimsy. We ended up using it as a garbage receptacle in the laundry room, so thanks to Chewy for making good on the purchase.

When the latch finally broke on my Petmate food bin from the early 2000s I tried to find a new one but they don’t seem to make them anymore. Too bad because the container is still in great shape and it’s served our family well holding food out of reach for 3 dogs, and 2 cats over the years. After reading decent reviews I bought this Iris to replace it. When I pulled this out of the box the small one, with its lid on, was inside the large one and would have fit in there easily with the lid closed so I wondered why. The why became apparent when I attached the lid on the larger bin it fits poorly, so no air tight seal. While I didn’t expect the same sturdy quality that things were made of 25 years ago, I thought that at least the lid would fit. There is also a strong oily plastic smell from both bins I’ve washed them out a couple of times and left it open to dry so the fur babies won’t have to eat plastic flavored food. It will have to suffice until I find something better. So 3 stars because the latch eventually closed.
