The lid on this thing is actually non functional because of the abysmal quality of the hinges. I’ve had IRIS containers for food before (though larger ones) and

The lid on this thing is actually non functional because of the abysmal quality of the hinges. I’ve had IRIS containers for food before (though larger ones) and I expected better. But the hinges just straight up pop off when you close it. I wouldn’t even recommend this for toys, unless you don’t plan on using the lid so the contents are accessible. I would give this zero stars if able.

these were inexpensive but no way they hold 10 pounds of dry cat food. A 16 pound bag filled them both to the brim with some left over.

Not Airtight

The transaction was flawless and the containers arrived in perfect condition. The size is perfect for the dog food we use. But the primary reason for buying was

The transaction was flawless and the containers arrived in perfect condition. The size is perfect for the dog food we use. But the primary reason for buying was to keep the food from spoiling prematurely. After about 2-3 days you notice there is a lack of seal compression and the flip-top catch doesn't really catch any longer. Gravity simply takes over. I believe the foam seal to be the culprit here. Very poor quality. I would be happy to pay more for a longer lasting silicone or other seal material.

Hinges are designed very poorly.

The plastic pins that slot into the hinges are very short, so they pop out easily every time you open or close the bin. It’s very annoying. I would not rely on

It’s too bad, because it’s the only bin I could find with the size and dimensions I needed for my space. It’s frustrating that the manufacturer doesn’t seem to have tested its own product for such basic functionality.
