I have several airtight containers for human food, tools sensitive scientific equipment, electronics and batteries. THOSE CONTAINERS all have a rigid clasp that securely locks the rubber gasket onto the edge of the container. Then I have to pry them open to break the vacuum seal, there’s an auditory sound. THIS CONTAINER has a lightweight and very small plastic clasp that rests underneath a narrow plastic tab. There’s no force involved to create any seal. I can unclasp and open the lid with my pinky. I placed a hygrometer inside the container filled with dog food and the humidity was only slightly lower than the room it was in. It even raised to 77% humidity when I placed it inside a hot, steamy shower (away from the water spray). So this WILL NOT KEEP FOOD FROM GETTING MOLDY. I doubt it would even keep small insects from getting in. Complete waste of money.
I have a three month old kitten named pumpkin and he is a handful. He is always searching for food and trying to eat through things. So these have definitely help a lot! The are nice and secure and it is hard to flip the latch and it also keeps his food nice and fresh. Definitely recommend getting
I had to buy special cat food for my cat and needed another storage container. This one is made well and should keep the cat food fresh.
This container is great for keeping your cat or dog food fresh. It's easy to handle also. I would definitely recommend it.
I’ve been trying to find a container to replace my large vaness containers that I left at my sister’s place across the country. Those are super solid and they really latch closed so if you drop them the food stays in. Unfortunately, this container is a nice size and shape, but the lid sort of “rests” on top. I wouldn’t call it airtight …it does have a foam seal inside, but the latch doesn’t really latch closed - it rests under a tiny lip in the plastic. I have gone everywhere trying to find a quality container and I just can’t find anything for a reasonable price. My picture has a smaller vaness, this container, and another one I’ve tried.
opens and closes easily holds three bags of smaller kibble that I layer
These are nice... My only issue is if you put the wheels on be careful when you fill it.. My wife dropped a 40 lb bag from about 10 inches into it and the bottom busted.
I bought a larger version of this container last year and it works fine, but the latch on this one comes off the lid almost every time that I open it. It pops back in but this is annoying.
Works great. Shorter and wider and than previous container resulting in taking up more floor space, but easy to assemble and functions well
the catch on the front broke on first use, and all of my cat’s food became stale immediately. she doesn’t eat stale food, so this was a double waste. :(
