I wanted a cat house that accomodated a warming mat, was insulated, and water proof. It seems to fulfill all of these requirements. The corners fit together with velcro, and it retains rigidity with the plastic inserts. My mother cat and her 2 kittens fit in it nicely, and there's room for more. Love it!

The information and description on this cat house state it has two doors, front door and rear escape door. This item only has one front entrance door! Wildlife could trap cats inside without an escape door! The plastic framework on the bottom is sufficient however there is no framework to the sides or top of the house. I don’t believe it would properly support a larger cat lying on top of the cat house, or ice/snow on top.
bought for the stray cat
It looks good, is set up and ready for winter for our stray when he arrives. He just shows up when he really needs help, so hasn't been here yet but we are ready
