The pump is perfectly-sized for aquariums as well as small ponds and water features. You will still need to add a filter and an air pump.

This pump is not designed for drinking fountains.

Misleading advertising

This is definitely not a pond pump, unless pond now somehow means an indoor container of distilled water, which is what the included instructions demand.
