Not a waste of money, worth a try…
Wonton says, “ya, I had one out of excitement but my owners kept trying to give me more. I left them on the ground hopefully, they would get the idea that they didn’t suit my taste buds. I’m glad so say, to my fellow buddies in jail…are having a riot over them.”
Auto Dosing Pump - Not Good
The screen is scratched, the buttons look as though it's been previously used, we are returning the product.
Easy set up
Straight forward instructions and accurate dosing.
Excellent but directions are not quite right
I’ve used these pumps for years Just remember, when you set intervals set it to “0” to dose everyday , the directions say “1” to dose everyday , selecting “1” doses every other day! “0” doesn’t mean no dose, you cannot set it not to dose! Trust me , I’ve experimented on all set ups, also after calibrating, press enter to save the settings ! Great pump!
Disappointed
I setup the dosing station per instruction. Setup the year, month, date, time. Ran each of the 4 pumps. Pump#1 did not work. I had to replace it with the spare dispenser head, for it to work. So I have no spare dispenser head for the future. Calibrated each of the 4 pumps with 100ml. Set my dates for dispensing Acropower, Mg, Ca, did not setup pump#4 yet. Pump #1 was suppose to dispense Aropower every 3 days, but has not. Rechecked my dates, reset the dispense time to keep track to see if it worked. I even went to Youtube to watch vids on how to calibrate and setup this machine. It has not worked per setup. Pump#2 #3 work fine. I have not set pump#4 yet but will later today with Phyto to feed corals. Really disappointed with this machine. I waited a month for Chewy (Favorites -Waiting list) to get this back in stock to order it.
Great value
Works well for the price. It has been very consistent on my 65g mixed reef. A little tricky to calibrate and program so I dropped one star.
Wrong assembly and fire hazard
I bought this for dosing medication into my aquarium. After messing with it for several days I couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t dosing accurately so I looked up the product online. I found that other customers who have also bought the product realized the pump heads are assembled backwards and must be removed, reassembled and put back on before it will work correctly. That is insane. The instructions for the pump even show the backwards assembly of the pump. Second, the electrical wire almost caught fire, thank goodness I noticed a burning smell and found it before it did. I re wired the electrical and now it’s working. But not before all of these issues. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Buy something American that doesn’t need rebuilt.
